I'm guessing that the American MV's probably have a higher Unique Listener count in those 24 hours compared to the K-Pop MV's though.

Erm but most people do view-spamming wrong. YouTube is very sensitive as far as dismissing replays. Hardcore fans know to clear history, watch without an account, have volume up, etc. in order to make their repeat views count, but very few people actually bother with all that.

Not to downplay K-pop but I feel like Spotify has kinda killed YouTube. Mv views have been low since streaming hit full on mainstream. Nowdays it's mainly just kpop atans doing aggressive tactics while most people don't care and will really just watch their own subscription channels and random videos.

Well, YouTube is not only big in the US, it’s really big in Asia, especially South East Asia, bc there is no other platform to watch and listen to kpop. Spotify, apple music and other streaming platforms are not big there. So, obviously as kpop is dominating Asia, their number would be big. Like streaming helps, but public recognition is the key of these big numbers. There are limits to how much the fans can contribute to the number of views.
