Little Mix have split from Simon Cowell's record label just days before the release of their fifth album LM5.

The X Factor-winning girl band, made up of Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, will no longer work with Syco.

The girls will move to label RCA, which is part of the wider Sony Group, just like Syco.

A spokesman for Simon told The Sun : "Syco Music will no longer work with Modest Management and therefore any artists signed to that management company.

"We do, of course, wish all artists affected by this decision every future success. Consequently, LM5, the forthcoming Little Mix album A&R’d and released on Syco Music, is to be serviced by RCA at the request of Syco and Simon Cowell."

It's said the group, who are due to release their new album very soon, are said to have grown frustrated with Cowell's label over the last few months and to have had some fallouts during the making of their new record.

The newspaper reports that the girls confronted the X Factor boss in a strongly-worded email, raising the issues they had with his label.

A bigger row is then said to have erupted between the label and the girls' management company Modest.

Cowell is said to have then decided to cut ties with all of the company's artists, which also include last year's X Factor winners Rak-Su.

Jesy appeared to show exactly how she and her bandmates feel when she liked an Instagram post that said: "They’re gonna leave Syco and then tell us what s**t Syco put them through."

It's believed the argument between the girls and their label boss began with a lack of recognition for the success of their latest single Woman Like Me, which features US superstar Nicki Minaj.

The girls wanted a writing credit alongside Ed Sheeren, Jess Glynne and Steve Mac, as they had contributed lyrics towards the song, but were not asking for any publishing money.

The music mogul is said to have pulled through on getting the girls a writing credit, but by that time his relationship with the management company had broken down.
