OG video

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was accused on Wednesday night of sharing a doctored video to defend the administration’s decision to revoke the press credentials of CNN reporter Jim Acosta.

Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump called Acosta a “rude, terrible person†during a press conference and tried to cut off his questioning.

When a White House intern attempted to take the microphone from Acosta three times, he held onto it and continued questioning Trump. During the intern’s final attempt, as she tried to pull the microphone away, Acosta’s hand appeared to briefly brush her arm.

“Pardon me, ma’am,†Acosta quickly said.

However, the footage Sanders shared was missing the audio, zoomed in and repeated. Critics on social media said the speed of the footage was altered as well.

Sanders did not disclose where she obtained the video.

Several Twitter users noted that the same video was shared hours earlier by a personality from Infowars, the Alex Jones outlet banned from many social media sites for abusive behavior

And here's another analysis from AP news supporting the accusation the video was messed with

This is where we're fucking at with this government right now.

The press secretary of the president is using videos from a propaganda far right source to frame a reporter and pretending this is reality.

This whole presidency and his team are a bunch of clowns tbh. Smh. And some stupid people believe these bunch of “trustworthy†people.

The most infuriating is that this administration lie A L L T H E F U C K I N G T I M E and alot of is the most basic, simplest shit no one should lie about but Trump still do it. And he keeps getting away with it while calling everyone else fake news.

The problem is one is claiming the woman was touched first when it was said woman who got into his space first. And the cause effect of that is for the man to react and move the hand. The guy was even nice enough to say excuse me. Now for the actions, you can clearly see the woman’s hand going down and bending not because of the guys hands but from her pulling the mic away from him. More like snatching it away from him. Way to silence someone’s right of speech by taking away the mic.

.........what kind of cheap ass dollar store program do you use that can't even handle zoom in :wth: It's literally just cropping...

The frame rate in the WH video have actually been changed, it's not a export issue. They slowed down before Acosta reached the girl and then speed up to exaggerate his movements right when his hand made contact to make it look like he used force when he just brushed her arm in original video. There was no reason to use an edited source from "frogs are turning gay" Infowar since there are plenty of the original videos online either.

She got into his space cuz he wouldn't give up the damn mic when he was supposed to lol.

And no he definitely resisted by putting his hand on her arm. You can obviously see that but I would say it was out of reflex rather than out of wanting to cause deliberate harm to the lady like how some Trump supporters on my twitter feed are pushing it out to be. That definitely should not be considered as an act of assault or physical violence and I doubt the aide was traumatized in any way lol.

I'm guessing the white house's decision to confiscate Jim Acosta's press pass was done after collectively taking into account all of his past actions and this event just pushed it over the line.

Is it any surprise? Literally the FIRST DAY of Trump's presidency they released edited versions of his inauguration crowd and lied continually about it. They lie about things you can literally see and disprove.

its not about whether it makes a big difference or not, its about the fact that they manipulated footage to deceive ppl into getting a man fired

Now that's already from Buzzfeed where I know your crowd of people love to get your news from.

Trump supporters are scrambling like crazy to rationalize this for Donald. Gotta get that Lying for Trump award.

Lol...he was in the middle of a question and she walked right up to him and tried to grab the mic from his hand. He clearly didn't expect that, and so she rammed her arm right into his outstretched hand, which the White House now considers "assault." Millions of people saw it happen live and didn't even notice the "assault." But leave it to Trump supporters, the largest consumers of fake news, more than any other groups combined - to find and push a fake narrative out of the event.

This is funny because Sarah Sanders literally got her footage from Infowars, which is like the biggest fake news site on the entire web. But go off, I guess. Gotta lie for Trump. 0u0plz.png

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

But if they make up a fake assault, I guess it's okay.

Yeah...I don't consider buzzfeed a "news" source but it's funny it is for you when is convenient

And the video Sanders posted was not speed up as a whole due to cutting down framerate since the movements were not choppy in the beginning. It was only off at moment of contact

And this is still a false accusation of physical assaults.. but just like you, WH is only caring about women's welfare when it's at their convenience.

Not letting reality get in the way of their alternative facts is one thing they are really consistent about. I'd almost be impressed if it wasn't so damn sad and scary at the same time.
