Does the Church promote conservative ideology ?

It depends the state you're in. Not all colleges support liberal ideologues or conservative ideologues.

When you're in college you meet different people of different backgrounds which helps open up the mind to liberal ideologies. But, you can still be liberal or conservative whether you choose to go to college or not. I think it all depends on what you choose to do with what you've seen in college.

The best teacher in our uni is conservative, so people saying conservative=ineducated is really funny

But yeah, I noticed that he doesn't talk much about political things and when he does, he always reminds us to think by ourselves first. But the several liberal teachers I had were always aggressive when they talk about politics in the way like saying "and those who think otherwise are just ineducated, stupid morons" (like some people already demonstrated it here), and that's really... annoying. So I'd say yes.

Why are liberal opinions immediately part of some agenda?

Sorry! Agenda was the wrong word to use i’ll change. I was mostly just asking if colleges at large tend to promote more liberal or conservative ideologies to their students.

That changes the question yeah. The difference between ideology and agenda is that agenda implies that there is some ulterior motive to promoting certain ideas, such as getting more support for some cause. Universities might generally be a more liberal institution but that does not mean they are pushing it onto people beyond the belief that 'it's the right thing'.

As for the question: yes, I believe that is often the case. But there are also a lot of universities (often religious ones) that are on the more conservative side. Personally I see the liberal ideology as a natural result of the many different backgrounds and opinions that collide on campuses, and the "scientific" attitude to be open to multiple perpectives. That doesn't mean conservatives can't hold educated discussions, though.

I guess it depends on what your area of study is (I major in Journalism and International Relations). My politics classes in were pretty far to the left (particularly my American politics subject), however, my history subject varied with some of my lecturers supplying reading that was radically right-wing (saying that colonialism was a moral good), I'd assume that finance and math-based degrees would not be as socially liberal as the arts and humanities schools. My campus is run by the Liberal Student Union (Don't be fooled by the name, they are center-right), but the loudest voices are those in the opposition (social-liberals, leftists, socialists - the socialists are always campaigning on campus, the uni is always threatening to shut down their club as well hurrplz.png )

but I guess it depends on the Univerity you go to and the course you are taking.
