Leah Dizon gained fame doing variety, magazines shoots, and even music. However in 2009 when she gave birth to her first daughter, she separated from the entertainment industry. Recently in a magazine, she sent a letter from America, the first in 10 years.

"Everyone in Japan, it has been awhile. This is Leah Dizon. Right now, I am living in Las Vegas with my family. I am a 4th year university student. Actually, after I divorced, I studied acting in New York for two years. But I thought it would be difficult to earn money and raise a child on this route. So, I started to study psychology, which I had an interest in. After this I intend to go to graduate school. If I get into graduate school, then there will tuition and living expenses. In the summer of this year, I went to Japan for the first time in 4 years. The place I went to first was Jindaiji. This is a picture from that time. This is the place I went to the most and liked the most when I lived in Japan. I like Japan, but as for the CMs I was in long ago...sorry, I was busy at that time and I don't remember. I was not used to singing, dancing, and CMs so it was difficult. Now my days are filled with going to school, reading books, writing reports and raising my daughter. I am relieved. Next I will take by daughter with me to Japan in December. I look forward to it."
