Each comeback is different than the last one. Fans enjoy the versatility of the group. The continuous reinvigoration of the fandom and the loyalty of fans keep them popular. [+87, -3] it was our first time experiencing a 400 days hiatus, it was so difficult this must be a new fan. The hiatus after MAMA was similar ( or I'd say worse, cause EXO practically disappeared.. there were even rumors about disbandment ) , but EXO gained more fans during the hiatus, being present through their fans work and engagement on social platforms, they remained a hot subject. Aside from their nonstop amazing album releases, great musical chemistry, creative concepts, logos, and overall story on their branding, there is just so many things to love about this group. They have been through so much, have won awards, get successful individual projects, and set records themselves but they remain humble.,hardworking and very grateful to the fans who are with them every step of the way and seeing all that as a fan makes me want to support them in more exo eras to come. They are acting like they were jobless for a year lmao EXO members were quite active last year, being involved in solo projects (movies, dramas, musicals,fashion) , music concerts and different events but you know very well what EXO fans are expecting the most: a group comeback and see them promoting together. In the last few years, EXO barely appeared on TV as a group, so the main comeback is the most anticipated because fans are hoping to see them in different shows. ( even one show during their short promotion period is enough. Last year they went to Knowing Bros) All EXO fans can see them if they attend a tv show, unlike concerts who are limited to a certain audience ( those fans who attend must break the rules and film them in order for others fans to see them and enjoy also their performances) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Even when Exo wants to interact with fans on vlives, sm actually restricts them wtf (although I kinda also feel that for the more introverted personalities, it’s their experience with sasaengs and hate that makes them more reserved on social media too). Other groups’ companies media play their groups’ exploits relentlessly (as they should its their job) but still, it’s been reported that Exo is the group that brought in the most fans to music bank this year during their recent comeback performance. Tbh, that really surprised me because I thought that their fans might’ve grown cold but wow, they’re so loyal and as fervent/numerous as ever. I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised because they’ve been selling out so many random products this year. Each of their comeback are different but you can still feel the EXO vibes, they never try to follow trends; either Kpop or western trend, they just do their things and exist and fans are hooked and so loyal. EXO-L must be one of the most loyal fandoms; went through all ups and downs and even wait through 400 days of hiatus.
