anxiety 5,043 Posted October 31, 2018 Share Posted October 31, 2018 I started to like Shori Sato but then I found out he's under JE I've been trying to avoid their whole company after I found out about their rape/sexual assault scandal (which pisses me off every time) I know Johnny doesn't do anything anymore and isn't really involved but it still makes me uncomfortable. As long as you don't buy anything, Johnny doesn't benefit whether you stan his talents or not. They're going to be around regardless. It's not like the boys themselves did anything wrong either. Last I know he is suspended of any activity but tbh I am not entirely satisfied with this decision. But I guess if he is not convicted by law, there is no legal standing to kick him out? Also after Yamaguchi & NEWS's incidence, all the performers in JE have to undergo "compliance training" (source). Of course this does not guarantee they will be saint but this should mean that the performers have enough knowledge/awareness that if any of them ever messed up you can put higher pressure on them (can't used the ignorant or youth or drunkeness excuse). (Note: contrary to the idea that fangirls do not care when their idols messed up, there were pushbacks from the fans when these incidences happened) Same like any other groups in KPop, if you are careful in selecting your favorite idol group, you will be able to find nice outstanding people. Especially from akanishi troop and tegoshi haha Idk about the younger ones though. Seems like they are pretty tame compared to their senpais. In this era of more transparency & stronger stance on sexual cases (& lower Johnny's power in the entertainment industry), I hope more info will be made available to the public to settle the issue once & for all.
