XIUDEAN 4,562
We all know that the kpop fandom is full of hypocrites especially on Twitter and OH and we all know the typical examples we see every single day but which is your "favorite". Which one just always kind of tickles you because of how predictable it is. Mine is something like "You need to support all ggs or let's promote sisterhood and solidarity" or "why don't female kpop fans support girl groups?" and then some of those same people "Y girl group are such flops, Z female idol isn't even that pretty, X female idol is so untalented. doki-doki 21,660
Not 'hypocrisy' per say but that time on OH when a Male BP fan was lecturing a female ARMY on why she doesn't support Feminism 'pUSSy vAGiNa!!11' because she stans BTS and not Blackpink. The irony of it all still sends me.
Yonaisablink 1,547
When people say they stan groups because they write their own music, then when you actually look into credits literally one member is writing the music among several other writers and they are one of the least popular members. sdtwfs 3,600
“You don’t stan girl groups because you hate woman†IMMMMM THIS!! I stan ggs but it’s so irritating when fans suddenly use the sexist card on bg stans just because they don’t like their faves. It’s as if preference is completely discarded and the only reason that you HAVE to stan ggs is because you’re a woman yourself, not because you actually enjoy their music. Same goes for Holland. I really dislike his voice and choose not to listen to his music and suddenly I’m labelled as homophobic just because I’m refusing to support a gay artist. Although I admire the fact that he’s crossing boundaries and challenging the social norms and internalised homophobia in Korea/ the Kpop industry, at the end of the day, I’m not obligated to listen to his music and shouldn’t be targeted for it. PockyAddict1989 3,099
Ugh that type of "fandom feminism" drives me up the wall. And some of the "we should support all gg" fools who are shaming female stans of boy bands for not liking a girl group, are the main fools who put down every girl group that they hate in the most misogynist ways. The very popular girl groups are always a huge target for some of them. If they hate the popular girl group, they dismiss them is such misoynist ways. It gets annoying because when real topics of feminism and misygony in the kpop industry happens, they are either mute or ignore it.
