Which is your favorite kpop fan hypocrisy?

We all know that the kpop fandom is full of hypocrites especially on Twitter and OH and we all know the typical examples we see every single day but which is your "favorite". Which one just always kind of tickles you because of how predictable it is.

Mine is something like "You need to support all ggs or let's promote sisterhood and solidarity" or "why don't female kpop fans support girl groups?" and then some of those same people "Y girl group are such flops, Z female idol isn't even that pretty, X female idol is so untalented.

I'm like rolleyes.gif.... laugh.png

When their own fandom does something wrong they be like " every fandom has bad apples, stop whining and don't generalise" but when another fandom does something they be like" as expected shame on them, toxic fandom and Kpop is not that deep".

Also honestly don't even get me started on the victim complexion

“You don’t stan girl groups because you hate womanâ€

IMMMMM

THIS!! I stan ggs but it’s so irritating when fans suddenly use the sexist card on bg stans just because they don’t like their faves. It’s as if preference is completely discarded and the only reason that you HAVE to stan ggs is because you’re a woman yourself, not because you actually enjoy their music.

Same goes for Holland. I really dislike his voice and choose not to listen to his music and suddenly I’m labelled as homophobic just because I’m refusing to support a gay artist. Although I admire the fact that he’s crossing boundaries and challenging the social norms and internalised homophobia in Korea/ the Kpop industry, at the end of the day, I’m not obligated to listen to his music and shouldn’t be targeted for it.

Ugh that type of "fandom feminism" drives me up the wall. And some of the "we should support all gg" fools who are shaming female stans of boy bands for not liking a girl group, are the main fools who put down every girl group that they hate in the most misogynist ways. The very popular girl groups are always a huge target for some of them. If they hate the popular girl group, they dismiss them is such misoynist ways.

It gets annoying because when real topics of feminism and misygony in the kpop industry happens, they are either mute or ignore it.

A LOT:

"Physical sales mean shit because it's only fandom driven" but creaming themselves when their own faves sell more than 50k

"Longevity in charts = fandom power, but no #real impact" but celebrating when their faves' songs chart for more than 2 months

How 1-2M of downloads / 100M of streams is a "smash hit" when it's achieved by their faves but when it's other groups "sales =/= impact"

"Female kpop stans that don't stan ggs have internalized misogyny" and then calling those fangirls horny and hormonal b*tches for stanning bgs
