U19s ratings are actually pretty stable, it means they aren't losing any watchers or significant parts of the fanbase. The Unit had some terrible drops. I rather the show be a stable 1% than have it drop into nothingness lik Mixnine.

People, what do you think about Yechan of the rap unit? He cried a couple times already in scenarios where he can't control himself emotionaly speaking. Maybe the expectatives and the pressure that the show puts on the members is not sane to a 13/14 years old boy.

 

 

This last episode gives me a lot of stuff to think and talk about lmao

Yeah, I agree. At least the ratings are low but stable. Other shows started well but kept dropping week by week. Even produce48 had some big drops iirc. Plus the number of votes at least in the first elimination were higher than I expected. The #1 in ep 6 had nearly as much votes as the winner in the final of pd48.

I mean, it's expected. He's barely 13 so basically a still a kid. I know some kids that age are mature but in general, you can't expect a tween/young teen to be as emotionally mature as an older teen or an adult. I feel bad for him tbh, he's still so young :/

Watching ep 8 with subs now and Yongha was pretty harsh with his team, telling them he was disappointed on them and stuff, but he was an awesome leader in general. I'm pleasantly surprised.

 

I can't at rap team sleeping in the floor all together while the other teams have actual beds. Why MBC hate them sf much?

TBH, for now, i can only see Doyeom and Shin Yechan being in the final group. Wumuti constantly on top but i still afraid MBC gonna pull a Mnet on his Chinese fans and rig it

Shin Yechan is in the final line for sure. He's one of the fan favorites and MBC seems to love him as well. Maybe Jinsung too.

So so far I'd say Jinsung, Yechan and Doyum are like the "locked trinity".

It would be pointless to rig it for Wumuti. His individual fanbase alone towers over everyone else's, they would be foolish not to cash in on that. MBK also still has leftover Chinese connections from days with T-ARA so they might actually have a shot at promoting in certain territories, he would be a good asset.

 

My only worry, as always, is that it might split the fanbase. Korean fans are already questioning his ranking as it is, since the voting is supposed to be locked only for them. Hopefully things figure themselves out.

Agree with your comment about Wumuti. He's not in my ideal line up but I don't mind him either. Like you said, he has a solid chinese fanbase so that's beneficial for the group since c-fans are very loyal and buy a lot. Also, he's legit talented. He surprised me a lot in Shangri La performance. Not only his vocals were fantastic, but his dancing/general stage presence was great too.

Unrelated but Wonbeom surprised me a lot in that performance as well. I didn't know he had such good vocals too.

Not only his vocals were fantastic, but his dancing/general stage presence was great too.

I think exatcly the same about Wumuti.

His case is kind of weird because he is talented and charming but other stand out more, but his vocals (and Won Beom's) on the last episode puts me on perspective and maybe I want him to debut tbh.

 

PS: I'm seeing Si Hyun more and more being one of the elected people.

I think I'm the only one finding Eddie cringy and unprepared? I mean I know Eddie 2 years ago and I thought he is a big kpop fan but I'm disappointed bcuz he can't speak any or basic Korean on the show, if I compare him to his fellow foreign contestant like Christian and Jay Chang the gap is so cleared. I'm not trying to bring him down but this is my honest opinion. Hoping everyone will not take it negatively.

Nah, I totally agree but I don't often talk about him because I know he has a lot of fans here / people that got into the show only for him. But you're totally right. At least other foreign members are either fluent in Korean (like Wumuti, Jang Rui, Kosuke etc) or at least are bothering to learn basic Korean like Jay, Christian or Min. Even in the dance/performance department he's okay but nowhere close to the level of other contestants.

There was a lot of backlash to him not dancing in the last performance. I think that, plus his growing popularity becoming a threat to others, led to some gatekeeping where other rap team members got votes just to push him down. There's a possibility enough people rose up in rankings that he ended up in the danger zone.
