The actor revealed that he began living in a boarding house starting from fifth/sixth grade. He stayed with his grandma and then lived alone after that. His parents divorced even before he could form memories of them. He thinks that's why he felt lonely during his school days and because he was lonely, he liked to meet his friends. 

 

The actor said that he has someone in his heart that he considers an uncle - it's actor Lee Sung Min. Bae Jung Nam revealed that he spent last year's Lunar New Year's Day, this year's Korean Thanksgiving and last Korean Thanksgiving with Lee Sung Min's family. Because he's alone on holidays, he said that Lee Sung Min invited him to come over. When he went over, Lee Sung Min's wife prepared a big meal. 

 

Bae Jung Nam and Lee Sung Min worked together on the film 'The Sheriff In Town' that premiered last year.
