I have a friend who lives in Texas who is voting for Cruz solely due to immigration. Even though he's a Democrat, he think that O'Rourke is too soft on immigration. When I bring up other issues at hand, he says that those don't matter as much, even though he recently described it as being "open season on gays" there. He also doesn't feel anything about the immigrants even though they're both Latino because his family is Tejano, not Mexican.
