onanimaster 51 Posted October 16, 2018 Share Posted October 16, 2018 i don't get what he's trying to say? mcu feels empty because of crossovers, easter eggs and continuity? what? and not him complaining about continuity and then naming x-men as the better movie universe when x-men's biggest problem is continuity... marvel is empty because their villains are empty characters with empty threats like how many times they've killed some main character just to bring them back 5 mins later? (like iw: we will just make thanos kill most of the characters in the movie for shock value but don't worry they will all be back in the next movie anyway) like i'd like to actually see them try doing something like logan... xavier and logan's deaths were heart-breaking and powerful and made the movie great (and we're sure that logan's not going to suddenly get out of his grave like he's carrie or something) that's why harry potter films never felt empty to me because they had a terrifying villain and iconic character death scenes that made us all weep i also think marvel needs to make more movies like winter soldier and less like avengers or diary of a whiny teenager (ft. iron man) which btw has one of the worst, most generic, least threatening villains i've ever seen... like wtf was that final fight?
