One night Momo caught some classmates of her high school on mysterious activities. Later, she saw them again but this time she was saved by them. Afterwards they reveal they are spies of Tsukikage Intelligence Agency and, inspired by her actions, she joins them. Under Yuki tutelage, Momo, with the rest, most protect the city from dangerous and diabolic villians with all their skills, gadgets, intelligence and "spyce"; an edible stuff which boost the physical abilities to the one who eats it.

Lay-duce is on charge of production for this 12 episodes anime original with the stellar is that Yuruyuri's creator, Namori, designed the characters while Takahiro, Yuki Yuna is a hero's director, the concept of the show.

OP - Spatto! Spy & Spyce

ED - Hide & Seek

Since the sixth of October, Hidive is simulcasting the show.

Nothing outstanding but not bad either, the series so far is delivering it´s cute girls doing cute things - MISSION IMPOSIBLE EDITION - and action scenes.

The production is awesome, hard to deny that, probably the best among the shows of this season, the characters are alright so far and the story´s development as well.

I am not expecting something ground-breaking but hoping it can keep it is entertaining charm.

Prostitution rings, drugs, underworld, the serious dark elements introduction and how it did not lost it light-action mood really caught off guard but they are welcome.

Momo trying to make Yuki proud through this episode was cute and heartwarming despite the themes embraced on the mission were far from cute. The clash between Momo's actions and how the mission should had been done was relatable AF. The action secuences were decent and the fight with the "enemy of the week" as well with some hilarity on it which avoided the fight to fall into boringness, even the aftermath of it was seasoned with hilarity thanks to the enemy, a chinese hitwomen, charisma, nothing groundbreaking tho but enjoyable.

The shows keep being alright with some little surprises here and there but is remarkable the production quality have not dropped yet and is keeping it's high value.

Let the #yuri/shojoaibait begins...but even thoug I love my good #glbait it did not helped to make this episode interesting.

This time it focused on the relationship between Yuu and Mei which is good on trying to expand the focus on the rest of the cast...but can't say the cast is that interesting because on the previous episodes as individuals they were not that outstanding but when they were on missions they shined and this episode proved it since it was not as interesting as the previous ones, even the "villian of the week" was weak compared to the chinese hitwoman of last week. On the other hand the show really set out well the plot between them is just it wasn't that catchy. However, the production, OST was still top notch and the special ED was cute.

I feel the anime pick steam when they explore their spy side instead of their characters personalities but let's see...

As expected, the show is way more enjoyable when embrace it's spy side more, being this episode a testament of that. The main arc, the traitor element, even the enemy of the week shined more compares to last episode. However, the way Momo's side plot was slipped into the case's resolución felt forced and out place at sometimes.

But overall, a better episode than last week.

Another character building focus episode, but compared to the episode about Yuu and Mei, this one was more interesting.

Gotta say, the unexpected dark twists that this anime take once in a while are a strong element of the show (then drugs and prostitution rings, now child slavery market) which "spice" the story when is needed. This time for Hatsume and Theresia - the enemy, of this arc apparently -. Moreover, even tho the side-plot of the traitor has been present ever since episode one, this time it reached new heights of importance thanks to the main cast interaction- On a side note, I love how the chinese hitwoman - Byakko - is now having more screentime.

#shojoAIbait aside, this episode had a lot of potential to be memorable but it never took them to the next level. I will partly blame the side-story about Goe but even wkth that it felt the post-apocalyptic mob-histeria blended with spy drama was not deepened enough to make it shine. Not a bad episode just...average.

A beach episode which it did not lasted that long and before I knew it went back to it's spy antics on which the show shines more. It did not added much to the overall plot but it delivered the spy action in which I was more invested at first.

P.D: BTW, that is a selfie stick

Like I said before, the show shifting it's tone to a darker one is one pf it's strongest highlight. Mostly because the transitions have been smooth, not forced and on the right timing to make the show more "spicy". Despite today's episode was soo spy's cliche but it was alright and definetely got better when the change of tone occured. Now with the tone of the narration and visuals on the preview for the next episode, I wonder it the series will go full dark (a la Madoka Magica) or keep it's moe spirit.

As expected, the shift of tone occured on this episode and went full brutal but it did not feel forced, since on previous episodes the show slowly was introducing dark elements. However, due the script's lack of skill to build up tension the reveal of the traitor was not that shocking and the climax of the episode sometimes felt flat, but still is appreciated the show did not hold back. However, the outcome this time could be extremely predictable following usual spy's stories tropes, in one hand I want them to ignore those and still go full dark but in the other hamd I want them to follow them because I WANT BYAKKO AND THE MILF KATRINA TO BE ALIVE! It all comes down hpw they will play with cards that are on the table.

As expected they pulled that trope but with some twists here and there to not make it so cliche and so it was not underwhelming and sometimes it felt refreshing- This is pretty much the showdown with the finale next week, so it was pure spy action and I like it despite the obvious production quality droppage. Still lowkey expecting that, since they pulled that trope, Byakko and Katrina are alive buuut the Raccon, Owl and Frog team (the superior one) is alive so everything right with the world.

the milf Katrina and Byakko are alive! fuck everyone! anime of the season!

Bad jokes aside, the showdown, as expected played it safe and was predictable but enjoyable nonetheless.

At the end the series went as expected, not ground-breaking but decent enough to entertain it biggest flaw is it did not knew how to play with it's elemets and played it too safe at the end despite some twists here and there-
