The "Puberty/Adolescence syndrome", a mysterious phenomenon with unnatural symptoms to anyone who suffers of it. High School student, Sakuta is one of those who has it and start seeing former idol and classmate Mai in a bunny costume but apparently he is the only one aware of her existence. Decided to seek out the truth behind all he spends time with her as he learn more about the phenomenon and the feelings of Mai. On their way more girls who suffer from the "Puberty/Adolescence syndrome" start to appear to Sakuta.

Adaptation of Hajime Kamoshida's light novel under CloverWork's hand for this 13 episodes anime.

These two episodes irradiated an elegant aura that most shows this season didn't. It handled tastefully and on the right pace the world and character building. Moreover the dynamics between Mai and Sakuta are surprisingly refreshing and natural.

However, It would be a lie to deny that I'm here mostly for the supernatural part rather than the character part. The show so far has been balancing the character development with the world building on the plot development in a sense that none of them overshadow each other yet but I can see myself not being excited if it decided to focus more on the character building (a la Revue Starlight episode 4).

"The adolescence syndrome" is really interesting and Mai's conditions, intriguing along with Sakuta attitude but I feel later on it will lay more on an angst romantic story with super-natural treats.

This episode grabbed all the show's current elements and wrapped them nicely in a remarkable arc's finale.

This episode took the anime to an unexpected direction, managing to build an argument for the resolution, reasonable character development and world building, boost the dynamics between Mai and Sakuta leading up to a well done closure which feel like series finale.

On the downside, despite being teased,I felt the romantic element wasn't builded up enough to be that vital in the resolution (Even the show is self-aware).

Anyway, this episode set the bar high for the future episodes which will be amazing if they can top it.

The mistery of this new arc looks promising but can´t say the same about the new "victim".

As expected, the stellar of the show still Sakuta and Mai dynamics interactions, and, unsurprisesingly, Sakuta on his own manage to overshadow everything. The introduction of the new mistery was smooth, not fast neither slow and is thanks to introducing the key elements without dragging it too much. However, since I´m all for the supernatural, the non-suspernatural parts felt a bit boring and Mai without Sakuta felt a bit boring too, moreover I felt this episode gave away how is going to be show´s structure from here onwards.

The first arc has it´s problems, like throwing the romance element in a rushed way but it´s closure was so well done that it made me overlook that at first. This arc seems to be more interesting than the previous one is just a matter to throw something greater to make up fo it, so far, flaws like the previous arc

.

I already was prepared for this, easily the weakest episode so far. Neither Sakuta and Mai antics could save it.

This episode was in no means bad written nor produced, just uninteresting and plain compared to the 3 first episodes. But mostly no supernatural elements, aka what I came from, and felt the set up of previous episode was just for filling the supernatural quota.

With that said, Sakuta shone, again, on the final stage of the episode but was not enough to make up this boring episode overall...and Mai...I already felt she would lost charm once her arc finish and it did.

This arc's closure was way better than the previous 2 episodes and even managed to fix some problems of the previous arc closure but still not atractive as Mai's arc. The dynamics between Mai and Sakuta felt fresh this time and even Koga managed to grab some spotlight with her development but still, even tho the previous arc has it's good amount of flaws the development was not as stale as this one.

I do not know if it is because the premise seems more interesting than the previous arc or beacuse the previous arc was really weak but I know this arc start is more enjoyable than the previous one;  the cast really shined with the interactions among them, not only Sakuta and Mai and Futaba is...HOT!

However, despite that it seems Futaba is the current main gril of this arc I´m interesting how Shoko will play out. Moreover, is kind of obvious how this will go (I mean, there are two girls equal to each other in everything, the copy is a more endearing version of the original...come on) so surprise me anime.

Well this arc was resolved fast (just two episodes) but is the best arc, topping the opening arc and, obviously, blowing out of the water the second arc. And is thanks, not to the arc's plot but to the characters interactions. In this arc ALL the characters shone with the same intensity not of them were overshadowed by other...well maybe shoko could be the exception, but besides that my point still stands. Another extra point is how Futaba was fleshed out in this arc, it may come up as another emo teenager (which she is) but it´s aprroach was complex enough to make her interesting, and even relatable, and not the usual edgy-emo stereotype (which is not a bad thing).

As expected, the new case is a Body Swap and the victims are two half-sisters jealous of each other...yeah. This new arc does not seem as promising as the previous one but the cliffhanger may turn things around. As always the dynamics between the cast is the higlight of the series and I really like how they react with each new case like instead of beating the bush they somehow got an idea what to do base on their previous experiences.

'gotta say, I feel by the show standards it's resolution, beisdes predictable, was bland but the journey throug it was fun with some twists here and there and so make up for the underwhelming outcome. On the way there more information regarding Sakuta's case was shown and even the how the "Puberty Syndrome" is cured once the case is resolved.

Next arc is kaede, fanboys' fave imouto of this season...boi is gonna be a wild ride.

I feel the show may be entering it's best arc yet BUT it's enjoyment will depend on how nuch interest you put on the current "victim" and yeah, I'm on those who could not care that much for Kaede and still don not. Putting Kaede aside for a moment, the dynamics between the cast reached it's peak on this episode and thye mistery involved this time looks promisisng...but it all may depend on how much someone is invested on Kaede so far,

This episode proved this may be the best arc of the series despíte is about my least favorite character of the show. The most interesting case of Adolescence syndrome, characters interactions on point, decent production quality to not let down the experience and Sakuta at his fullest. I truly loved how on the first half it gave more background story about him and how everything led to his current situation, how even Shoko, from the previous arc, managed to be a key piece of it. The second half was just about Kaede...and just that the mystery progressed and that's it altho I really loved the situation of the current Kaed and the previous Kaede before she developed the syndrome.

The finale may be hella interesting.

The series could have not ended better even tho this final felt more like a stretch since is obvious the arc ended on the first minutes of the episode and the rest was just the aftermath...which was my favorite part because Sakuta delivered his best perfomance of the series, gosh his Seiyuu did an explendid job, really shined here.

Final thoughts, I'm gonna say the N word, this anime is Not on my fave of this season but it would be a crime to deny is among the biggest surprises of the year by delivering the most refreshing characters interaction I could see in anime which is pretty much it's strongest point above all. A recommended watch even for non-anime fans I would dare to say, because even tho it use some classical anime tropes it does it, let say, in a tastefully way and sometimes meta as well.
