If you like them you stan them and maybe they could become more popular, if not they're still your favorite member of the group. I think your friend said that bcuz sometimes members do not get enough opportunities to show off their charms and talents (or anything) and that can get frustrating. If you stan SNSD or EXO of course that seems like a stupid question. BUT in a nugu group.... I mean my bias in Ladies Code is Zuny and to this day while she has gotten better, she still doesn't have a lot going on for herself compared to the other members. I once made an appreciation thread for Chaeyoung, one of the less popular members of Twice, and it got a decent number of replies and upvotes. Same thing happened with Yeri. I made an appreciation thread for Zuny and I got one reply and one upvote, and I'm pretty sure they're the same person lol. Neither Ladies Code's fandom, Lavelys, or their company, Polaris, is really putting her out there like that. And both those parties give the other members, Ashley and Sojung, a decent amount of attention. So yeah, in a certain context, I can where the "what's the point?" question is coming from.
