What do you think about people who camp at concerts?

Unless you're living under a rock, you probably know that these days BTS are having a tour. Therefore, it's hard to not see ARMYs talking about it and it seems like one of their favourite topics is people who camp to be front row.

Where I live it's quite a big issue and it seems like it was in London too. I saw girls insulting other girls because "they are going to smell" or just because they think they are crazy and will be murdered or idk what. I even saw girls threatening campers to call the police...

Anyways, so what is your opinion about people camping at concerts? Whether it is for 1 night, 3 nights or 2 weeks?

Personally I think they are really brave and I would love to do it if I ever get the opportunity. I don't think that anyone is more determined than them and I don't get why people insult them. Most of them have an Airbnb to go take a shower at least once a day and from what I've seen, there's always a friendly atmosphere. I think that people who insult them or are obsessed by them (french stans who often are on twitter may know who i'm talking about mdr) are pathetic and jealous.

Nah man I like my luxuries and that includes VIP tickets if I’m that desperate to see the artist

The most I spent was half a day for an iKON concert and I still had VIP tickets but wanted front row which I got. This time I am going to Their Japanese concert because it’s all by seat # so won’t have to camp

Honestly sometimes even with VIP tickets you have to camp... When I saw B.A.P I had VIP tickets and we were only 100 so I thought I didn't have to camp so I came at 10 AM. Turned out I was in the 60's out of 100 people. Most of them came a day before the concert.... So yeah I was front row but it could've been better and I was lucky that we were only 100. For bigger concerts (like BTS) VIPs are almost 400 so you can say goodbye to the front row

Wouldn’t go anywhere near standing with a concert filled with rabid fans

I did vip with dean and regretted it cuz young kpop fangirls were so damn annoying here in Canada.

VIP for iKON in Jakarta had around 300 people but I came 12 hours before the concert and was number 40? Still good enough for me. Japan I got tickets with seat # so don’t have to lineup

same, i don't see any problem with it, besides it's just for a limited period of time people should chill out about order and shit, let people live

Isn't that normal(ish) for a variety of things? I've seen people camp out games, sport tickets, movies and so on well in advance.

Me and some friends even went to a midnight launch for Halo 3 and we camped 6 hours earlier. While it was fun to interact with other fans throughout the day (a few dudes wear in cosplay with full armour which was cool), the 6 hor wait was a waste of time since the game was still readily available everywhere days later lol

I'm one of these french stans who talks sh*t about them lol. it's illegal here if I'm not wrong. and I think it's unfair for the people who can only come in the afternoon (because of classes for example)

It's not illegal, it's just forbidden by Bercy. But it's been decades that people do it and I don't think they ever kicked out fans, except maybe some Mylène Farmer fans because they are grown adults and camp for weeks. I think it's mostly in case something happens, to not have any problem. According to Directioners the police come and talk with them, give them food and leur tapent la bise so I don't think they care that much.

It's true that it's unfair for them but a lot of girls are skipping classes anyway to go to the concert and even if no on camps, if you have class on the d-day you will still be at the end of the pit (which can be a good thing).

that's good alksjfkgldfg

but like if they want to hold their place in line and stuff 0u0plz.png

It depends of the country but here there's a numerotation so they can leave without any problem. But if there's none I guess they can try to be friends with the girls around them ? It's a risk to take
