Idk, the fact that they don't speak english and are Korean is a bigger barrier

But still, having two albums going #2 on bb200 with those pure sales should be recognized, plus they don't have half of the back up 1d had for going WW

If they start winning ~western~ awards that don’t have to do with social media, have the highest grossing tour in a certain year and amass more than ~50 million album sales then yeah.

In Asia yes, not in the West.

 

I mean, it's pretty logical that asian boybands will be privileged in Asia since asian fangirls will prefer local boybands and in the West , western fangirls will prefer their local boyband.

they're not a group of white boys so even if they made x1000 more than one direction they'll never be accepted the same way by the backward ass world we live in, unfortunately. just look at the mess that happened to nct last night at the amas. racism against asian celebrities is alive and well.
