The anime follows Kohane, a girl who enjoys helping other people, and her dream to become a cheerleader after she saw a cheerleader squad performance. But her new school does not have a cheerleader club so she decide to form one.

The 12 episodes long adaptation of Tsukasa Unohana's manga is under Doga Kobo's work.

Just another moe & slice of life with sport treats and I take it as well, being the fact that is scheduled for every sunday a big factor.

However, the show was decent enough along with the comedy as well and Kohane is loveable as fuck, and I'm surprised I did not got tired of her "I wanna do chair" gimmick since it was overused this episode. Moreover, if the OST will be as good as this first song that would give it a lot of extra good points.

So far, the right anime to see on weekends after an agitated week.

It should be illegal to be this cute, younger 02 who?

The show pretty much still delivers in what it was promised from the start. Cute girls doing cute things and is doing pretty good. I like how they are really taking consideration on Kohane's fright of height as part of the plot, how she still have a long way to go to fulfill her dream and I like the clash of difference between Kohane's expectations with Uki's and Arima's reality.

So far the rest of the cast is being fleshed out very well too, I sense some #yuribait moments in the future, and the comedy still spot on.

This show unexpectedly is good and funny so far omg.

Kohane is a cute little pumpkin who needs to be protected from all the shit she get due her "jenki" personality.

Like, I did not expect a serious Girl-Love side story and to be resolved in a such quick, satisfactory, but overall, predictable way. I wouldn't call the reaction realistic but an idealistic one but how it was handled was really good, it wasn't superficial but neither deeply complex.

Arima's and Uki's personalities are slowly taking more protagonism and the path to be cheerleaders is picking up at the right pace.

Finally, I loved this!

Kohane â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸ such a cutie â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

Their first cheer peformance amd it went better than expected, of course it wasn´t a complex flashy one due their current state but uplifting enough. I would have loved if their preparation was shown for the D Day but I guess since it was a simple one it was not necessary. The comedy still delivered it´s light heart mood but it was noticeable the drop on quality in the production since some draws were out of proportion but the animation was still alright.

Tatejima joins the gang, it was dead ass obvious she will but the journey for it was nice and cozy.

Look at this cutie getting fired up on paying a back a pay back from a cheer with a cheer, Kohane â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

Even tho this is a #CGDCT this episode felt more like that tag compared to the previous ones, in special the second half. One thing I loved it is how they displayed the rutine of the cheer association under the excuse of Tatemija's first day as a member of such association. It was nice to see their doings as a group despite being simple because of their current situation.

 â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸

The gang got another request this time outside school and thus they put their first stunt on their routine. I loved how they showed just enough of their preparation towards the D day without spoiling much of the routine. The character interactions were, as always, enjoyable and loveable. However, the issue with Tatejima felt a bit forced and out of the blue, sure is understandable since is expect due her personality but it was not teased enough to imply it will take part of this episode's plot moreover Kohane's fear of heights was not treated as expected, sure by the show standards it was treated just but considering how importantly was treated at the begining of the show I expected a bit more. Which probably will be next week base on the preview.

Overall, like the performance, a nice episode.

Such a loveable idiot â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸â¤ï¸ :chu:

Now the focus was on the girls's fears wich, somehow, managed to give some depth to the characters and it was refreshing seeing the other members of the cheer association taking spotlight with their problems moreover Kohane's fear of height was not re-introduced but taken again as a plot device which I welcome it (since I believed they may had got rid of it so easily on the previous episode, but it was not.)

And finally the last girl will debut on the next episode!

Finally the last girl was introduced, Ushiku and surprising it's introduction managed to give backstory to Arima and her. As always the dynamics between the cheer association is smooth and even the new character managed to fit in the flow easily.

Not 'gonna lie, I would not be surprised if there is an anime/manga out there which combines sentai and cheerleaders.

Back to the show, as expected Ushiku addition does not felt out of place and quickly catched up with the group's dynamics and the group interaction with the teacher was adorable. The second half with Uki and her brother was cute and funny as hell.

Uki being gay...as usual lol.

Ushiku stole the show in this episode along with Arima, their dynamic to improve their relation were hilarous. And not gonna lie, seeing schoolgirls mangakas who DO NOT draw Yaoi in anime was, somehow, refreshing for side characters.

I'm surprised they remembered the cheerleading gig of previous episode, good because it lead  to more practice and thus more funny moments. The second with them preparing their uniforms for the tournament is the peak of the Cheer club dynamics.

Last episode may be the mos interesting episode so far with Arima facing her previous team.

Final weekly Kohane appreciation

Sin-t-tulo-5.gif

It ended better than expected, with a bit of tension but quickly dissiped into the show's cheerful mood and even making meta jokes about the usual tropes of this kind of series in general and I loved that.

In a general aspect is another moe/slice of life/#CGDCT anime but since is theme was about cheerleading it kind of gave it a unique charm. I would say is recommended watch if you are looking for someone to cheer you up lol.
