Well there’s no indication from Shameless that he’s coming back, but fans, being the detective they are, found collective “evidence†that he might be back for just one or two scenes/episodes. There’s a Southsider who got in contact with one of the extras and said Noel filmed some scenes with Shameless. And fans found it strange that Emma Kenny’s makeup dresser or where the cast gets there makeup and stuffs done have Mickey tattoo pictures on the wall behind her. And the makeup artist that was hired never met Noel but apparently followed him in IG. These are some of the things I’ve read in twitter and reddit.
