Do you think this group could be successful?

They're good! Love the blonde guy. His voice reminds me of Hongki's voice a lot. Which is a good thing :chu: :lub:

His name is bii and he's half Taiwanese and half Korean. Found a thread with more of his stuff. http://onehallyu.com/index.php?/topic/5000-biis-new-releases-and-mvs/

He kinda looks like luhan to me.

Yup.

They are all solo artists.

Andrew Tan - Malaysian (guy with red hair)

Bii - Half Korean half Taiwanese. (blonde hair dude)

Ian and Dino - Taiwanese (Ian - sharp looking guy with earrings, Dino - cute looking guy with hoodie)

Andrew Tan and Bii collaborated couple years ago with the same title song:

I'd love it if they are an actual group ... they would totally slay.  *___*

Nonetheless, I hope they do more collabs together. Their voices are <3   :ahmagah:

Glad to see that Andrew Tan and Bii collaborated on another song, their first collaboration is one of my favorite cpop songs. Not sure who the other two guys are, but they sound pretty good, although I felt that Andrew's voice stood out the most.

Also why is it that when a new cpop or jpop group comes out, some people quickly label them as kpop boygroup wannabes? It's narrow minded, and it's disrespectful towards established solo artists like Andrew Tan, who doesn't need to copy kpop to be liked.

pressed . :)

It's obviously a kpop copycat concept, just look at how they are dressed and their hair...

korean fashion right there..you have to be a blind not to see it..

well, taiwan is trying to cash in on the kpop boygroup hype, before kpop became popular, there weren't even 5 boygroups in the entire Chinese industry..nowadays, there is a new one popping up every few seconds

Andrew Tan is  just barely relevant in Taiwan and almost irrelevant in most chinese speaking countries.. .so are the rest...

well, Bii is at least relevant in Taiwan..they are a bunch of artists who sells like 5000-10000 copies of their album in TW,  I don't think they have a say in anything..

this is just an attempt by the company to get a major breakthrough from these c-list artists ....

aren't they like serious pop-rock artists? Why on earth are they looking like that singing a sappy love ballad..

Pressed? Hardly. I'm not an Andrew Tan fan, but I just find it disrespectful for you to brush him and the other solo artists off. Kpop fashion? Most of those fashion trends were worn in the west first before Asia started to wear it. Yes, I'm aware of all the new crop of cpop groups popping out of the ground like daisies, but every decade their are new groups that debut, just let them run their course, if they don't interest you. And what's wrong with a company trying to push their acts to get more popular?  Isn't that what music companies are suppose to do for their artists and groups? Why are they singing a sappy love ballad? Why would you even ask me that? Like I would know the answer to that. Ask their company since it seems to bother you so much.

This is not a fan forum, people are here to voice their opionion, not here to give unanimously support like this is some sort of idol fanpage.

It is what it is, this is how kpop stars nowdays looks like, I really don't care if it's something worn in the west during the ice age,

it's relevant.  It's clear why they are going for that look.  Yeah, it's just too bad that their company is making them change their image/music

in vain hopes of duplicating kpop's success.  This is why they are going to FLOP.  People won't take wannabes seriously.  That is also why there isn't one successful copycat cpop group who debuted after the hallyu wave started.

Read the topic, We're supposed to be here to give our opinion on this group, if you can't stand the reality that not everyone is fangirling over them, then try googling their fan forum

Er, I just gave my opinion on them earlier, but that's not my problem if you didn't read it. So yes you can have your opinion, and I can have mine and also the right to disagree with you. I'm not understanding why you're turning this whole collaboration of solo artists into a rant about kpop group "wannabes". I get that you have a hidden agenda, and if you can't stand the reality that not everyone thinks like you do, then try googling all of these supposedly wannabe group anti fanpages and take your rant there.

If you disagree with someone's opinion, you are entitled to voice your own counter-argument, nobody even tried to stop you...

but you came in here all butthurt, calling ppl who disagree with you "narrow minded and disrespectful"   (see your initial response), you obviously can't handle a difference of opinion.     I'm sure if this is some ugly girl group, you wouldn't even give a damn.  I have no idea I have a hidden agenda...what would that be..hmmm...I guess anyone who doesn't fall in line and  worship your biases with you has a hidden agenda..

.................are you serious? What ugly girlgroup? Favorite idol worship shrine? Where are you even going with this?

i already told you that I'm not an Andrew Tan fan, not even close. Name calling? People are narrow-minded if they brush off a group so easily without giving them a chance to be heard or recognized. I'm not even considering this group to be a group to stan in the future, I just happen to like the song. Yes, your hidden agenda is to accuse every non-kpop group as wannabes, but that's your problem for paying attention to them in the first place, and getting so worked up over it.

If anything I don't even follow any of the new cpop groups, since I mainly just listen to solo cpop artists.

Basically, you think anyone who calls them a kpop copycat group is only because they haven't given them a chance...yawn...

who told you naysayers aren't giving them a chance?  I took the time to watch the whole video, the song is terrible...really corny lyrics, forgettable melody and simple 90s ballad production/arrangement,  the whole image is typical kpop..everything is so forgettable...I think it's sad they have a management co. who wants to transform these solo artists into a kpop group ...I'm not sure if you're an andrew tan fan, Bii fan or your bias is a similar kpop copycat group, but it obviously worries you sick that this group is not being "given a chance"...

Great..just because I called this group a kpop group wannabe, that means I have a hidden agenda of labelling every group in the universe a kpop group wannabe...I can't even take you seriously, bye

^I already said that I'm not a fan of Andrew Tan nor do I stan any of the new cpop boygroups, so why do you keep pushing it? I can't take you seriously either, especially someone who jumps down my throat for disagreeing with you and for being overly aggressive about it as well.

I think their talented! This group could be successful if they had good music. Even 1D has some decent and unique songs. But tbh I don't find this decent or unique. The only thing they got going for them here is the hd music video and good looks. And if your not from SMent, that won't get you anywhere.
