What do you think about someone who dates another person who is 8+ years younger/older than them?

I PERSONALLY got my limit 6 years older and not younger than me. Now i do get a little wierded out when i see that huge age gap btween other couples but i can't do nothing about it and it's their lives.

I personally ascribe to the "half your age plus seven" rule, so after a certain point 8 years wouldn't really be a big deal at all.

My dad is 5 years older than my mom and my grandpa is 8 years older than my grandma. So it's OK.

I don't have any problem with this. As long as they get along with each other and are mature enough to overcome the age difference then all is good

I don't see anything wrong with it as long as it's a legal relationship and both parties are of age.

 

 

Legal as in all the technicalities are straight and they are both legal adults. The age of consent laws are more complicated depending on each country but here the age of consent to sexual activity is 16 (pushed up from 14).

 

The complicated part is that the age of consent changes to 18 here if the relationship is considered exploitative and the other party's age difference can influence whether or not it's legal. That makes it illegal. So I'm not entirely sure then I think that as long as the two parties have this worked out I guess it's okay.

I think it's socially acceptable and pretty common nowadays to have age gaps up to 8 years. But I should think it's a bit hard...I mean I would feel somewhat insecure cause he would be older and more experienced in a lot of things. Then again it's a plus point for some
