Just your regular high school setting romcom with an incoming harem fight and probably nothing more and I'll take it.

This first episode pretty much delivered what I expected from what I've read on the descriptions without overdoing it or holding itself and it worked. It set and sailed the main ship, Romio & Juliet (lol), more faster than I thought, but then again, this is another story inspired on the famous Romeo & Juliet drama, the charm relies in not how long the main ship will take to sail but in how big the clusterfuck will be due the ship sailing.

Already one of my favorites to lookforward this season...and Juliet is cute with tsundere traits...yep please do not dissapoint me.

Compared to the first episode this felt weak but it solidified that this is just another romcom and is great because one of it's charm right now is literally that.

As expected the #mess have started with Romio & Juliet now trying to keep the facade of being mortal enemies while dating in secret and actually having an actual date. Hosuki romantic feelings couldn't be more obvious but gosh that scene of her with Julio was glorious. Then this pretty much folowed what other romcoms have done but it worked but that would be thanks to Romio and Julio/Juliet ship.

Is not aiming to be an outstanding romcom and Romio & Juliet neither as a memorable ship (yet!) but is not needed since so far is delevering a decent romantic comedy.

The introduction of Chartreux pretty solidify my point about the charm of this kind of show rely on how big the clusterfuck will be with the main ship sailing and I love it.

Please! let both Romio and Juliet have their own harem! - Romio: Hasuki / Juliet: Chartreux - because I adored how Chartreux, the Tyrant princess of the west, was developed in this episode. It wasn't groundbreaking but hot enough to add spyce to the show. Moreover, the cast have been so far portraying well their roles in this romcom which make it enjoyable and everyones shines, even the extras.

I'm heavily surprised how much I'm enjoying the show so far and f*ck it, Romio & Juliet are the candidates for ship of the season.

This episode pretty much highlight the charm of the show, a regular romcom but that executes it´s elements right without overdoing it nor restraining itself.

All the cast shined from the mains to the extras; the main characters developed well during the episode, in special Hasuki; the comedy was still on point; it did not dragged neither rushed the story, on point fan service. Moreover, Romio got the balls to drop his secret with Persia like that and stand with it. Is rare to see that so early in a romcom but is welcome.

Anyway, the first #friendzoning happened and delivered, the clusterfuck is just starting.

And when I thought these two could not get more adorable...they get.

On one hand, the production qualities issues are starting to be more obvious to the point I am wondering if they will be able to pull off the next episode base on the previews. On the other hand, the main ship could not be any cuter and the comedy more ridiculous and I love it.

Ths most pumped up episode so far, pacing on point, action on point, production good enough to carry on the show, plot on point, characters on point just the OST felt a bit forcefull on the drama side but other than it went neat all overall.

At this póint,  it should not be a surprise that the show being a regular rom-com is what is making it stand-out.

On a side note, considering they are now half of the show, I wonder if the anime will be able to introduce all the characters that appeared on the OP, since a lot of them had VA announced already.

The showdown between Juliet and Romio was really intense, for real they really went all out on the production on those first minutes until the finale .

After that it embraced again it´s romcom side and the production went back to "normal". It's hard to deny after the hype of the tournament arc the rom-com part came as anticlimatic but Romio and Juliet make up for it.

It felt at times the soundtrack and the production played agaisnt the episode but this is the first episode where the dynamics among the cast, even with the new introduced twins, took the protagonism not only Romio and Juliet but the twins, Hasuki, Maru and his gang even Char and Scott with the minimal screentime they had but is because how colorfull they are and the charm they irradiatate despite most of them being RomCom cliche.

So, Persia is probably the most understanding girlfriend EVER! Romio...Romio and Airu is Romio brother.

As cliche as it was, the dynamics between Romio and Char were entertaining and funny, even the twins shine despite their small screentime and , of course, the relationshipn between Juliet and Romio gets cuter and cuter every week and it seems the production improved compared to las episode?

Whatever is the case, it seems the show is reaching it's climas...taking in consideration the amount of episodes left and the cliffhanger of this episode.

Definetely a more serious episode now that Romio´s brother step in and definetely setting up the field for the climax with the amount of episodes left, pretty much shifted a bit from it's usual mood. Overall there is nothing much to talk since now is bulding up slowly to, probably, the grand finale.

This time the production quality played agaisnt the show, is obvious the script aimed for highers grounds but the awkard art style and the animation failed to ma deliver some moments.

However, since I made this far I could bare it, because the characters still among the saving graces on cases like this (RIPHASUKIFEELINGS) and, of course, the main ship, RomioxJuliet. But still, hard to overlook that flaw.

Production quality aside, the show still with the build-up which seems promising (obviously, excluiding the production quality aside as the main obstacle).

The production this episode was interesting, it was like a mix of two different episodes. In one hand we have the low one of previous episode and in the other hand we had, probably, the best drawn scenes for the series to the point it felt like a different show- All of them combined between shots which made an unsual experience.

That aside, the showdown did not let down, the right amount of drama, comedy, tension and action blended perfectly on the most important point of the relationship between Romio and Juliet and the aftermath gave a nice closure.

Overall, what it held back the anime was not it's cliche premise nor it's overused tropes but it´s production quality because  I felt the show knew how generic the premise of forbidden love so it decided to go along with it and it delivered, even surpassing expectations at points. But most important, the main ship RomioxJuliet was adorable to watch with all their shenanigans.
