Kim Tae Hee offered a part in Chinese drama 'Wang Xi Zhi'

Kim Tae Hee's agency Lua Entertainment revealed that she received a new casting offer for what could be her first Chinese drama.

 

A rep recently revealed, "It is true she received a casting offer to be in Chinese historical drama 'Wang Xi Zhi.'  We are reviewing it very positively.  Until the Chinese production company makes a final decision, nothing is for sure.  We plan on reflecting the viewpoints of China's side as best as possible.  We also think this would be a good opportunity for Kim Tae Hee."

Iirc, chinese actors/actress don't really need to get on k-dramas since C-dramas already pay them well... so there is like no need to learn a foreign language when your own country gives you a lot..

That doesn't really matter, China dubs even chinese speakers depending on where they're airing the drama or where in China the speaker is from because of regional accents.

Chinese dramas pay better than Korean dramas for the big stars and the reason why Chinese dramas are bring on Korean actors is because the Korean actors will work *CHEAPER* than Chinese stars and *STILL* end up being paid more than if the Korean actor was on a Korean drama.

 

So it's a win/win. Chinese drama gets a name actor, pays them less, gets attention to the show and the Korean actor builds their Chinese exposure (which can lead to money in CFs/photoshoots as well) and still get paid more than if they were on a Korean drama.

Ahhh I heard about the Dub.. But still it would be pretty awkward for the cast and maybe her having saying.. Idk what during the filming lol
