Me too!

Yeah, he's a solo singer. A user here recommended a song by him before, so I'm a bit familiar with him. He's done some drama OSTs, but he also releases his own music. This song is shows of his vocals really well:

Hahaha, yes it is similar.

thats good to know, i heard he did a lot of OST this year, as he done ost for 'terius behind me' drama, and if im not mistaken he also will do ost for upcoming SBS drama soon, wow great for him lovestruck.png

Preview for Episode 7

I'm so glad to see Sunny assert herself as the empress. Can't wait for next week's episodes.

as much as i wish to see their (Sunny & NWS) revenge to happen,

guess its gonna take time since the drama has 48 eps so yeahimstupid.png

That's true. There's only so many people the writer can kill off at this point; I don't know if the writer will have enough content for that episode count.

i bet their revenge may success around ep20 or above,

plus, im not usually following the long episode drama, but due to our leads, i'll try to carry on. trollfaceplz.png

Choi Jin Hyuk Surprises Jang Nara With A Sudden Embrace In “The Last Empressâ€

f6722a2a06c44f089e9cc1d2e2c54877.jpeg?s=

SBS’s “The Last Empress†has released new still images of Jang Nara and Choi Jin Hyuk!

The drama is set in an alternate reality where modern-day Korea is a constitutional monarchy. Jang Nara plays a young woman named Oh Sunny who marries into the royal family, while Choi Jin Hyuk plays Na Wang Shik/Chun Woo Bin, a man who becomes a royal bodyguard.

In the photos, Chun Woo Bin stands in front of Oh Sunny while maintaining eye contact with her. He tightly embraces her as tears fall from her eyes. When Chun Woo Bin places both of his arms on her, as if to hug her, Oh Sunny looks away from his intense gaze in surprise and shifts her body away from him as well.

This scene was filmed in Ilsan of Gyeonggi Province. While preparing for their shoot, Jang Nara and Choi Jin Hyuk entered the set completely absorbed into their roles as Oh Sunny and Chun Woo Bin. They rehearsed their scene without rest, working well together as they traded lines and expressed the emotional impact of the scene. The professional actors were able to film their scene without any NG [Not Good] cuts.

The production staff stated, “Because Jang Nara and Choi Jin Hyuk expressed feelings of disappointment to the greatest degree during the ending scene of the last episode, many are curious about this week’s broadcast. Please look forward to see the reason why empress Oh Sunny and royal bodyguard Chun Woo Bin, who are in similar positions of being betrayed, come into contact while maintaining eye contact.â€

I'm here! I just finished watching the latest episode. I'm so irritated with the characters. I didn't get Sunny's conversation with the Emperor about how she'll believe his words. Love yourself, Sunny! He's a terrible person that doesn't merit the benefit of the doubt. I can't with the plot twist at the end either. Woo Bin, what are you doing? The nanny too and the head of internal affairs amgplz.png

It's sad that Sunny has no one to support her except the Grand Empress Dowager in the imperial family.

but i believe wangshik always helped her? no?  laugh.png

Welcome! How did you feel about the latest episode?

I don't know what to say. The first half of the episode was nice because we got to see Sunny blow off some steam and basically let Hyuk and Yura know she's not to be messed with. The ending left me devastated.

Nice to see a drama on a public station getting double digit ratings again.

im still didnt watch the latest yet but i feel like the drama will go on like a rollercoaster, laugh.png

and ur sig tho lmao harharplz.png

Ugh, yes. Sunny's been crying non-stop for so many episodes now. It looks like the writer doesn't want to stop that anytime soon.

Thanks!

An awful lot happened in this last episode.

Is it true it's 24 episodes? Because if it keeps up this pace, I'm worried that:

1. We'll run out of plot;

2. We'll run out of characters.

yeah 24 eps (after divided from 2 episodes per day) which its 48 eps. ilikeitplz.png

otherwise i believe in writer since she's also directing Return drama,

run out of characters? i guess they had a lot of characters already, what made you think its not complete? imstupid.png

No, I meant, at the rate they're killing people off (or attempting to), how many characters will still be alive at the end of the final episode?

Well as you can see Prince Yoon is not officially be part in palace yet, as he still wondering around somewhere lol.

I guess he'll be able to help sunny soon.

Chun Woo-Bin will save Sunny. You can bet he had his friend down in the water, waiting to rescue Sunny when he pushed her in. He's playing the long game. He wants her out of the palace, because it's the only way he knows she'll be safe.

what do you mean his friend down in the water? Did they live down there? lmao

i wish the drama could show how they saved her from drowning. laugh.png

nara ig - her dress seems like being demoted as a servant? sighh im not ready for her downfall yet unsure.png

I'm guessing in a future episode we'll see some flashback where Chun Woo-Bin gets in touch with the man who saved him/trained him, and had him waiting near where Sunny was pushed into the water. Sunny will have lost consciousness and not realise he was there to save her - she'll just accept his story that he found Sunny floating down the river.
Just guessing.

yeah you could be right, since hes the old man who were closed to wang shik. hurrplz.png

I need a small scene where Sunny finds happiness even if it's a short one during next ep.

She is just suffering soo much, I need her to breath even if it's a couple of seconds. That said, given the last chapter ending, it doesn't look likely.

Sunny has to suffer more because being pushed off the cliff is seems not enough. This is gonna be like a rollercoaster ride but faster...when we think she's already at the top, she would suddenly fall rock bottom then perhaps go back up again then somebody would try to kill her again. since the drama has 24 eps so yeah... 0u0plz.png

Jang Nara And Lee Elijah Engage In Intense Face-Off In “The Last Empressâ€

3f454d4cc592461e886bd5cd9709ecde.jpeg?s=

SBS’s “The Last Empress†released new stills that show Jang Nara and Lee Elijah in an intense face-to-face confrontation!

The drama is set in an alternate reality where Korea is ruled under a constitutional monarchy. Jang Nara plays in the role of Oh Sunny, a young unpopular musical actress who marries into the royal family. Lee Elijah plays the role of Min Yu Ra who stands closely to the emperor in hopes of gaining more power by replacing Oh Sunny.

The last episode increased the intensity of the drama as Oh Sunny finally figured out the secret affair between Min Yu Ra and Emperor Lee Hyuk (Shin Sung Rok).

The new stills feature Oh Sunny as she confronts Min Yu Ra who is trying to get into the emperor’s room. Despite Oh Sunny’s loud scolding, Min Yu Ra doesn’t back down and even ignores her.

However, the next photos show Oh Sunny saying something to Min Yu Ra that finally breaks her silence.

Lee-Elijah-2.jpg&key=54c2b900e1a52ecb1f0

According to the production team, while the two are enemies in the drama, they are closer to each other than they are to anyone else on set. When the cameras aren’t rolling, they reportedly laugh and enjoy exchanging conversation with each other. However, as soon as they start filming, they immediately get into their characters and fight like there is no tomorrow.

The production team commented, “It will be a scene with much intensity as Min Yu Ra continues to flaunt her power with the emperor by her side and Oh Sunny shows she’s not afraid. Furthermore, the upcoming episode will have a surprise twist as they continue to search for the murderer of the Grand Empress Dowager (Park Won Sook). Please look forward as the episode will show a series of unexpected situations that you won’t even have time to take a breath.â€

Oh Sunny and Min Yu Ra’s fierce showdown will be included in the upcoming episode of “The Last Empress,†which will air at 10 p.m. KST on December 19.
