IKON'S Junhoe apologizes again at comeback press conference.

Recommended Posts

He began,“I am so sorry that I disappointed many fans greatly with this incident. I am reflecting upon myself again and again. I promise that something like this will never happen again. I especially realized once again that I should always treat my fans with gratitude and cherish them. I will be thankful for every moment as I promote, and I will work to show good sides of myself.â€

He continued, “As I caused an incident like that with not much time left until the album release, I was ashamed to face the members. I am ashamed to face Yang Hyun Suk, our members, and our fans. Yang Hyun Suk cautioned me and told me to reflect on myself.â€

B.I commented, “There was a negative incident ahead of the comeback, but as the members know that Junhoe is sincerely sorry, we tried to comfort him rather than scolding him. We told Junhoe that this is a chance to grow and become a better person.â€

Honestly you could copy and paste this apology and it work for any controversy
He should be more specific as to what he is apologizing for.

Boygroup members really get away with anything, don't they? Look at how easy it is for him to just say "Oh okay, i'm sorry, i'll reflect while still promoting and making money", while if a girl did it, she would be getting hate for the rest of her life and wouldnt be able to promote for at least 6 months.

wtf he's apologized twice on IG.. the journalists and everyone knows WHAT he's apologizing for.

What he did was talk wrong to a FAN. That's it. Him liking a japanese artist who barely any people knew might be associated to right winged people was a mistake for him not knowing (almost all people didn't), but you're making it seem as if he mistook a korean war hero for a japanese one.. let's not compare.

You do realize that AOA had a similar scandal that killed their digital power for basically 2 years, right? They apologized 300 times and people still crucified them for that. Same goes for Tiffany, wasn't it just an innocent mistake as well? Well, people still requested her to stop promoting and she had to stay away from all social media for almost a year. Suddenly when it's a boygroup member, an apology is enough.

you do realize Junhoe's mistake is NOTHING compared to AOA's? who mistook a KOREAN WAR HERO for a Japanese one?

Like I said in my comment where I literally pointed this scandal indirectly and said NOT to compare... you can't COMPARE both.

EITHER WAY, I still think the witch hunting for the girls was disgusting but you hoping for this mentality to CONTINUE is disgusting. You wishing that since AOA got screwed over by the GP then only way you'll be ok is if iKON did too.

He is not at fault for the way people treated other artists' controversies and some of you should not use this opportunity to bring him down even more because you're salty about the way your fave was treated. For your information, the Korean public is still bashing him in comment sections, he didn't "get away with it" and if you knew anything about this situation, you'd realize both him and your faves were witch hunted for equally stupid reasons. He's crying, he's already apologized multiple times, people are refusing his apology, they're calling him all sorts of things, does that make you feel better? Why do you have to make it worse for him? I mean, call out the industry, it's rotten, the fan culture is rotten, prosecution of celebrities for the smallest of things is rotten, but it's not his fucking fault. You're doing to him what you're calling people out for by the way, how does that help? Your anger is misdirected and misplaced.

How are you comparing these incidents??

At the end of the day what happened was not all that bad especially considering what the biggest story in Korea is today.

I was pleasantly surprised that all the comments on Naver were understanding one with 7,000 upvotes saying that he's an idol who trained his whole life, not a history major and understood that he liked the actor as an artist.

Just when I think there's no hope for netizens, they surprise me. Maybe they aren't all haters.

Weren't you guys saying it was a "innocent" mistake? AOA and Tiffany were innocent too, and still had to face consequences. Apologies weren't enough. Time out? Not enough either. Now you get any male idol that had a scandal over the past years and you will see how they got away with it without major career-damage. He might be getting that "hate" now but give it a week and people will magically forget and give him a pass. The witch-hunt is bad, but seeing males getting that special treatment is even worse.

This: "I was pleasantly surprised that all the comments on Naver were understanding one with 7,000 upvotes saying that he's an idol who trained his whole life, not a history major and understood that he liked the actor as an artist." just proves my point.

She only translates certain comments. Just recently she was caught ommitting good comments (the top comments) on this very issue. She also intentionally omits articles.

I've also seen her fake upvotes. NB is not credible.

you're naive if you think NB is credible in the slightest.

So what you're saying is that, you want him to be even more witch hunted?

Yeah, an honest apology isn't enough. He should sacrifice his soul, leave ikon and be exiled from korea.

The horror he has INFLICTED upon us is unforgivable....according to some salty user.

Please move on and stop being salty because junhoe isn't being witchhunted like you bias.

He apologized several times and is in tears. I don't know what people want more?
