Okay, lets talk. Do you respect it when someone you like is in a relationship?

Because let me tell you, nobody in the fucking world respects it it seems. Because like, guys are still in my inbox. Guys that KNOW how serious I am about my dude. Guys on the street will be like, "why's she with a lame dude like that" or "look at that bitch, damn!" or straight up cat calling me while we are holding hands.

 

Like it's not a cute look.

So tell me, when you KNOW someone is in a relationship and you like them a lot what do you do. Are you the sort that's the "nice friend" who comforts them during fights and tells them how amazing they are? Are you the sort that says hit me up when you break up? Do you encourage them to cheat? or do you just mind your business? Do you have this problem when you're taken?

I'm definitely the type of friend who comforts them and try to make the relationship go forward. However, I'm not one to keep things to myself so even if they are in a relationship I normally end up professing my love. Even then, I make sure not to disrespect either person in the relationship.

 

It's happened a couple times and things went super smoothly.

I fell for a guy with a girlfriend, and we stayed best friends for a couple years. Then he broke up with his gf, and a couple months later we started dating (still are)

 

We started out being friends, I never intended for anything else, but we fell in love naturally. We liked each other while he was in a relationship, but I never crossed the line, so while there was an emotional affair, I wouldn't say I didn't respect their relationship? It was a bit rocky and honestly he should've broken up with her way earlier tbh

lol, to be honest I might be like that at times but normally I just mind my own business unless I get a vibe from that girl, like she's also into me. If that's the case then I don't care if she has a boyfriend as at that point is very likely they're going to break up. So in the end it depends more if the girl shows interest or not. However if said bloke was my friend then I wouldn't attempt anything with a girl no matter how cute she is.
