I don't like Korean dramas so I only watch it to see my biases on screen and I only do this if I have nothing better to do. Sometimes I skip certain parts and sometimes I drop the drama completely. In fact, I'm sure I've dropped more than I've finished. So it's not that I only care for dramas with idols in them, but more of I only care about the idol. For me it's not my case bc I have actor oppa favs like Lee Minho,Kim Soohyun, Nam JooHyuk, Park Bogum, So Jisub, Gong Yoo, Yeo Jingoo, Yang Sejong, Lee Junki, Jung Woosung, Lee Santa (bc I stan his talent, he is trash in private life but he is one of the best korean actors). I like former idols goods actor like Park Hyungsik, Yoon Dujun or my man Doh Kyungsoo. I love FranCella's posts about netizens opinions of dramas. For example secretary Kim had a lot of people watching and naturally people will comment on the threads. PMY N PSJ are popular actors internationally. I’ve seen you whine a lot when you post threads and no one responds to them. Instead of accusing the audience of purposely avoiding dramas cuz there are no idols in it, have u thought the drama probably just doesn’t appeal to international fans? It’s not rocket science.
