Today, there is announcement of sakura, nako, hitomi career in akb, good news is a lot, miho, miyu, miu sister finally in senbatsu again... saku nako hitomi of them centering the new akb mv. But they need to have 2.5 years exclusively contract, so what do you think?

For Sakura/Nako definitely mixed feelings, I'm glad they get to experience more but this will put HKT at a disadvantage so this makes me slightly angry as an HKT fan.

For Hitomi, I'm happy for her. I don't think she will do that well in AKB anyway (Probably would be an UG at least) so this definitely makes her do more.

The only one I'm worried about is Nako bc she has been really blowing up and she was just gonna keep moving up and up in popularity and attention, and now she's gonna be gone.

she's not gonna be gone. izone will debut in japan so most probably they will have tours in each of the girls hometown (well if they ever think about it lol)

In my opinion, I think it's the right decision. The J-line needs to adapt to the korean idol culture and entertainment business, that includes narrowing the language barrier which I think they will eventually. Not a I*Zone stans, but I will follow their activites and hope they release a BOP in their debut.

I like it because it'll be too tiring for them if they were to promote with two groups. However, Sakura is at her peak and she might lose popularity being gone for 2.5 years. Though with her popularity, she might bring fans for IZ*ONE and may not even decline a lot when she gets back. For Nako, she's doing well and would have likely continued to go up so to leave for 2.5 years while on her way up may impact her negatively when she comes back. For Hitomi, she's not as popular as Sakura or Nako so this might be a good opportunity for her. It's true that they'll also promote in Japan, but it's just not the same as promoting with HKT and AKB. Anyway, since it's already set in stone, I just hope IZ*ONE will do well so everything will work out nicely for them and the rest of the members as well.

My only thing is that when Sakura returns, there's a high chance she'll graduate a year after. It's been 7 years as an HKT48 member, and by the time she rejoins, it'll be onwards to 10. She'll only be 23, but she's already been taking a step back from 48 life and with the strain idol life in Korea, I don't know if she'll want to be back in HKT full time.

I'm less worried about Nako wanting to continue being a HKT48 member for a while but it sucks that this is happening at the same time she was peaking.

This is good for Hitomi. She even a mid tier member in the 48G so this is a great opportunity for her. With 2 and a half years with IZ, she'll be sitting comfortably back in AKB48 with a strong fanbase.

Still though, it's good to know that they won't be overworked with 2-3 groups and can focus on just one.

Short term wise, it’s better for them to not have to do activities for 2 groups (or 3 in the case for Sakura and Nako) as I’m sure it’s very taxing. 2.5 years is long though and their careers in Japan will take a hit. Hitomi won’t really be affected but I hope they find a new Tochigi representative as the whole point of Team 8 is to promote their local prefecture, do local jobs, and tour.

Good for KR and Intl side but not for Japanese fans side,i bet they will lose some fans in Japan for sure if wotas don't like to support them in a Korean group but still they gain more oversea fans so i think it's still good
