The "Carry On" Laugh: People with contagious laughter tend to have this type of laugh. At first the laughter is suppressed, but when it is at full blast, it's expressive and contagious to those around the person. The laugh is fun, sociable and makes the person appear down-to-earth.

The Baby Crying Laugh: This is considered a not-so-pleasant sounding laugh because it comes off like sounds a baby makes when it wants to be fed. It's also the "guilty" laugh we make when we've said or done something wrong.

The Laughing Sailor: The laugh most commonly seen in people who never learned how to laugh properly can be contagious. Their shoulders shake and they have a deadpan look on their face complete with endless heaving giggles.

The Pseudo-Infantile: This laugh is thought to be child-like and seeks reassurance from others. It comes off shameful and can influence mischievous behavior in others.

The Split Personality: In this case, your body language comes off like the Pseudo-Infantile. It appears all innocent and embarrassed, but it also displays a person with a spontaneous personality who may come to regret something they've said.

The Wheeze: When you're in a serious type of career your laughter can be affected and as a result, be stifled. This laughter is a form of self-suffocation since you are cautious about being too loud and you remain in control of it when something hilarious is said.

The Suppressed Exploding Laughter: You know the feeling when you've tried to hold back laughing only to erupt into laughter. The laughter occurs in small bursts and is usually linked to naughtiness or shame which is why it causes you to laugh more.

The Giggler: Giggling is a response to other people's naughtiness and comes off innocent and child-like. It makes the person appear well-behaved and is a manner of appearing good.

The Operatic Giggle: This giggle is not as pleasant as the rest since it is loud, shrill, and attention seeking.

The Mirthless Laugh: This is often considered a "performed" laughter because it's usually meant to be polite. And although the mouth opens the sound comes out like a cackle, but the expression on the face doesn't change the way it does during genuine laughter.
