So the AAA claims: "Asia Artist Awards is the first-ever award which selects artists from both K-Pop and K-Drama and K-Movie for the year, based on their performance who excelled in Korea as well as in Asian region." Yet it includes artists that debuted yesterday, haven't even sold 1K albums, or simply haven't promoted in Korea in years. Yet they don't include other groups, for example CROSS GENE, who not only reached nearly 20K album sales, charted on MelOn and have members present on Korean TV. Other idol groups that have similar/better sales: A.C.E, IN2IT and Rainz (and JBJ if you want to include them). But they add groups who didn't even have a comeback in years on top of virtually no popularity. It's just another popularity award show, so I'd assume they'd have a consistent criteria. Whoever is pulling strings, or whatever intern fucked up on the job is a mystery. But just adds to the whole nonsensical aspect of this particular award show.
