Did One Direction’s Split Help Kpop’s Popularity?

My story is kinda backwards. I was a directioner but I knew kpop before 1D...so not necessarily. Tbh, 1D was an escape from the kpop world toxicity until I stan BTS lol. But I do agree that a lot of people jumped ship because of inactivity... I stopped caring because I stopped liking the music and Zayn left.

Yeah, anyone who denies it is kidding themselves. How much it helped may be debatable but so many new kpop fans today are former directioners and that’s a fact.

Yeet, sorry. And my answers no.

It’s cool

Helped BTS' popularity in the US to an extent, not kpop

Bts is a kpop group, so their popularity helps Kpop. And assuming it’s true that ex Directioners did become Kpop fans, you can’t claim they all stan the same group :derp:
