Our age gap is big enough to where I can learn from her screw ups and not follow in her footsteps. She is my best friend though and I love her despite the fact I'm kinda dissing her now. There's this common belief that brothers are very protective of their little sister, but my brother isn't protective in the slightest and could care less about my life tbh. It felt great when they still lived with my parents but after they left I became the older sibling lol. It's great knowing that in any situation they'll help you out (when I was still a child I got away with everything~) but now that I'm older, I just ask them for life experiences and advice. stinashawol 469 Posted May 28, 2014 Share Posted May 28, 2014 I definitely don't enjoy it. my mum obviously favours my older sister over me and I also can't go to my current school for all four years because most of our family's money was already wasted on my sister's useless psychology degree. I also experienced a level of abuse from her when I was little. all I can say is, if you have a younger sibling, please don't be awful to them. And I have 2 older sisters and another older brother, but they are 30ish and they hate me so I dont have any kind of close relationship with them. The age gap between the 5th child (older brother) and me is 7 years; the shortest age gap is between the 2nd and 3rd, which is 4 years.
