HoaYo 330
I don't know why but over the course of years I'm losing more hair. I've just graduated high school and yet my hair line is thinning and there's a bald patch behind my head. I've tried different shampoos, conditioners, hair oils, and hair supplements but my hair still keeps on falling off. I'm at a brink of loss because school's about to start and I'm so self conscious that every time I go out, I wear a cap. Any advice on hair growth and tips? Like what products you use or eat that might help poor scalps like mine?

Ego ista 1,344
I think this isn’t something you can fix with just shampoos and conditioner you should check with your doctor it could be stress or changes in diets that can cause hair loss but it can be something more serious too
bb403 5
Maybe stress or lack of sleep?
Gene_e 1,534
What you mention about having a bald patch sounds like alopecia areata. Check a dermatologist for treatment.
evil4life 3,270
don't bother testing out products, much like dealing with acne you'll find faster results if you go to Dermatologist who specializes in hair loss

orengi 305
you have to eat lots of protein and eliminate the stress in ur life(or at least lessen it) shampoos, conditioners,or hair oils wont help grow your hair if youre constantly stressed and unhealthy black beans is good at helping hair growth
Grape Soda 12,004
You should go see a doctor. Also what have you used?
HoaYo 330
You should go see a doctor. Also what have you used? Avalon/OGX Biotin shampoo/conditioner, coconut oil, Shea butter, Brahmi oil. I went to the doctor a couple months ago and got a blood test to see whether or not this was a thyroid problem and it wasn't. So I'm still confused what's going on. I can't see a dermatologist because I need a doctor's reference note because my family lives on medical insurance ;-;

That's the most commentary used product for general hair loss issues. Also do you have other symptoms, dandruff? Irritation? Redness? I'd also advise you to set up another appointment with your doctor for that dermatologist referral, despite how long the wait might be
PeachyKeys! 599
Go to the doctor. Sleep more, stress less. Use products with caffeine, peppermint or cinnamon to stimulate blood flow.
