Shishido Kavka (whose real name is Shishido Yuuna) is a pop-rock singer, drummer, model, and actress under IMPERIAL RECORDS. She was born to Japanese parents in Mexico and lived there until the age of two, later going to Japan for elementary school. Because of her father's work, she also lived in Argentina. She took up the drums at the age of 14 after seeing a performance on TV. She was attracted to the drums despite the fact that drummers aren't usually the ones in the spotlight, and she wanted to become someone who could shine and stand out. Her parents bought her a drum set and she was taught by Daniel "Pipi" Piazzolla, grandson of tango musician Astor Piazzolla. Once back in Japan, she began playing with bands through high school and by the time she entered university, she was a part of 8 different bands.

Shishido began using her own vocals at the age of 20, and in 2005, she started collaborating with THE HIGH-LOWS' drummer Ohshima Kenji and UVERworld producer Hiraide Satoru. She formed a band called eddy12 with them. During this time, she performed with her signature style, playing the drums and singing simultaneously. Later on that year, she was approched by music producers when she accompanied a friend to an audition. She started a modeling career in 2009 while still playing the drums for different artists. It wasn't until 2012 that she released her first single "Day Dream Rider" after signing to major record label IMPERIAL RECORDS. She continues to work with her eddy 12 bandmates, who now act as her producers.

I was watching some j-music mvs last month and then I came across her mv. I was attracted because she's such a talented drummer. I didn't know who she was and her mvs were titled in Japanese and I couldn't read Japanese. So, I was wondering what her name was for awhile.

But now suddenly, I just noticed the latest banner for j-pop music recommendation, and I was like, "that girl looks familiar", so I clicked  and here I am. Now I know what her name is  . I'm glad I found this thread. I wanna know more about her music.
