TT is biggest kpop group hit in Japan? has 98 weeks in Billboard Japan, 63 weeks in Recochoku and still in Top 10.

Have there been any hit that can be compared with TT?

Mr and Meri Kuri

And a few more I guess, but no recent songs

What groups are those songs? And what are the receipts that are comparable to TT?

Mr by KARA. Digital sales of more than 2 million... It was the 24th best-selling song of 2010 and the 6th best-selling song of 2011.

Meri Kuri by BoA (so not a group). It's one of the most popular christmas songs in Japan and keeps charting every year.

WelI I refer only  groups so BoA doesn't count.

As for KARA's Mister, the 2M of downloads is impressive. How well did it in streaming?

This was in 2010 and 2011, there was no streaming chart. But it did better than TT overall.

But Billboard Japan Hot 100 exists since 2008

Yeah but nobody really cares about it, besides Twice is largely charting there for so long due to their Youtube views and tweets

No, TT is the 4th song with most streaming 2018's first half in Japan. Streaming is what keeps TT charting above all things.

Yeah they're doing very well in streaming but they wouldn't have charted all that time if not for their youtube views (included in streaming) and twitter activity. Besides streaming barely existed back then.

In the end both things are also good indicators of success at a certain level but is sure that streaming and digital sales are what keep TT, it has been almost two years and you find the song among the most downloaded and with the most streaming in Japan.

So Mister and TT are the biggest kpop groups hits in Japan.

More or less, yes. There are some other KARA and SNSD songs that did very well and iirc one TVXQ song.

Big Bang's Fantastic Baby did well too.

Well, Youtube is becoming the biggest method of steaming in Japan recently. So, I don't know why your trying to slight TWICE because they have high Youtube views in Japan.

Up, Up and Away!
