Just when you thought the roster of supermodels at New York Fashion Week couldn’t get more stacked (Bella! Gigi! Kaia! Selena Gomez made her own sort of runway debut at the Coach fashion show.

 

During the SS19 presentation on Tuesday afternoon, Selena strutted her stuff in the front row, and at one point took a quick turn on the catwalk. She wore a western-style dress with black and gold chiffon sleeves and gold leather fringe. She wore her hair in a middle-parted low ponytail and kept her makeup bold yet neutral with a smoky eye and nude lip.

 

Selena is the face of the brand and one of designer Stewart Vevers' muses, so has been a fixture in the brand's front row for the past few seasons. In fact, she debuted the second iteration of her own Selena x Coach capsule collection in August and has been a front-row fixture at the brand's shows over the past few years. On Coach's Instagram stories, she revealed that her favorite piece from her namesake line is a black and gold bag, which would match perfectly with the dress she wore at the show.

 

Two years into her design partnership with Coach, Selena Gomez says the American brand’s values keep her highly engaged. â€œTheir authenticity and willingness to be flexible,†she said at its spring 2019 show after a long embrace with the artist Petra Collins, who sat next to her in the front row. “They really allowed me to go in with the entire brand, and that was very trusting of them. I also love Stuart [Vevers’] heart, so as much as he’s a genius with what he’s done with the brand, it’s more that he’s a good person and they let me do my thing.â€

After the Coach show, her only NYFW stop, she’s going straight back to L.A. to tie up some loose ends with the record.
