HIT THE FLOOR follows the lives and loves of the Los Angeles Devil Girls, the premiere dance team in all of professional basketball. At its heart is Ahsha, a sheltered young woman who joins the team against the wishes of her mother Sloane, who knows this treacherous, tempting world all too well having been a Devil Girl herself. Olivia is the shrewd squad manager, Jelena is the star dancer who won't let anyone else share the spotlight and Pete Davenport is the former All-Star who's come back to coach his old team.

In series, Ahsha takes her tentative first steps as a Los Angeles Devil Girl, including orientation and first practices. Meanwhile Jelena seethes over Ahsha being let on the team and targets not just her but also Olivia for going against her to make it happen. Raquel has her hands full with her ex while Kyle makes the most of her new gig, seducing the Hollywood elite who fill the front row.

Ahsha starts to taste celebrity and experience the high life in Hollywood. Temptations become harder to resist. As a result, her relationship with German starts becoming strained. As Ahsha is drawn more and more to Derek, she finds herself torn between her old life and her exciting new one.

Jelena also experiences romantic trials with Terrence as their relationship is put to the test by how ambitious Jelena is, and how far she's willing to go to maintain her position at the top. Meanwhile, how far Olivia went to succeed back in the day gets dredged up by the return of fellow original Devil Girl and former best friend Sloane. Their complicated past haunts them both and threatens to unearth in a big way in the present.

All the while, the mystery surrounding the disappearance of missing dancer Mia continues to grow, threatening to blow the roof off the entire L.A. Devils organization.

Cast and Characters

Taylour Paige as Ahsha Hayes

Stunning, appealing, stronger than she thinks, with more star quality than she knows, Ahsha is the daughter of former Devil Girls dancer Sloane, and she's clearly inherited her mom's ability and combined it with something intangible of her own. Despite her mom's disapproval, Ahsha auditions for the Devil Girls (the dance team supporting the LA Devils basketball team), and is an instant stand-out -- even with a heart-stopping mistake her first day. During the audition process, Ahsha makes friends with one of the Girls, Raquel, and makes a formidable enemy of the acknowledged Devil Girls star, Jelena--not to mention an unexpected attraction, clearly reciprocated, with Devil's basketball star Derek Roman. Optimistic, just a bit naive, and very sweet, Ahsha is going to have her work cut out for her as she navigates the cutthroat path of a real live Devil Girl.

281x211.jpg

Kimberly Elise as Sloane Hayes

Sharp-tongued, strong-willed, once a talented dancer, Sloane was a Devil Girl and is determined that her beloved daughter Ahsha follow a different path--something away from the flash and danger of the world she left behind. Furious when Ahsha blows off a job interview to audition for the Devil Girls, Sloane is resigned to Ahsha's dream and winds up supporting her as she makes her final bid to be on the team. Rightfully worried about Ahsha's ability to maneuver amid the sharks on the Devils, Sloane tries her best to protect her -- but she can't be with her 24/7...

281x211.jpg

Dean Cain as Coach Davenport

Walking intimidation, fried by life, with a low tolerance for annoyance, struggling with the aftermath of a painful divorce, Coach Davenport is the brand new coach for the Devils basketball team, and he makes no bones about the fact that he hates being a judge at the Devil Girls tryouts. Coach Davenport remembers Sloane from her days as a Devil, when they were both younger and got into lots of trouble together...

281x211.jpg

Logan Browning as Jelena Howard

The current captain and unequivocal star of the Devil Girls, Jelena is tough, savvy, utterly out for herself, and a bully, bent on intimidating or outright hurting anyone who gets in the way of her position in the limelight. Very threatened by the obvious star quality of newcomer Ahsha, Jelena quickly makes a point of becoming her enemy--and she's not that nice to her friends, either.

281x211.jpg

Katherine Bailess as Kyle Hart

"Sex on legs," Kyle is a stripper who auditions for the Devil Girls. A young woman who unabashedly uses her considerable sexual wiles to get what she wants, Kyle's bright, observant, not afraid to fight for what she wants--and she literally gets into a fight with current Devil Girl Lexi--and is forced to make a big play in her attempt to make the team. Kyle's not entirely without heart or humor, though, and tells the innocent Ahsha, "Please don't make me worry about you, I can't stand all that gushy stuff".

281x211.jpg

Valery Ortiz as Raquel Saldana

As emotional as a telenovela heroine and twice as drama-plagued, sweet and friendly despite her travails, Raquel is a current Devil Girl whose life is complicated by her 4 year old son, Miguel, and the fact that Miguel's dad, her ex, is a deadbeat bully who's also the manager of half the players on the Devils. Raquel is friends (as much as one can be) with the tyrannical Jelena, but makes the mistake of speaking out against her and facing her wrath. Nevertheless, Raquel has befriended Ahsha, a relationship they both draw strength from.

281x211.jpg

McKinley Freeman as Derek Roman

One of the ringleader/star basketball players of the L.A. Devils, he's mischievous, handsome, and sexy as hell. He comes in with a few other players to check out the girls auditioning for the Devil Girls and immediately takes a fancy to Ahsha -- who does what she can to deflect his advances but can't deny that there's definitely a spark between them.

281x211.jpg

Robert Christopher Riley as Terrence Wall

Devil baller Terrence acts like the star player that he is, coming in to watch some of the Devil Girl auditions with his entourage amid considerable fanfare. He and Jelena have a hot and heavy relationship, making them king and queen of this world.

281x211.jpg

Jonathan "Lil J" McDaniel as German Vega

Sweet, soulful, sexy and confident. Ahsha's boyfriend, he knows what he has in Ahsha (and vice versa). A high school gym teacher who once had dreams of a pro-basketball career, until he cracked under pressure when the scouts came. German is supportive of Ahsha's decision to chuck her bank job interview and to Devil Girls auditions. He supports her through her entire journey, but it gets harder and harder the more she's lured into a seedier and seedier world.

281x211.jpg

Adam Senn as ZERO

Former Ohio Forward that Oscar buys to help secure the Devils a Championship. A star player to rival Derek and Terrence. Sexy, hugely successful and incredibly smart. But there's more to Zero and his well-crafted image than meets the eye.

281x211.jpg

Charlotte Ross as Olivia Vincent

An original Devil Girl, Olivia wasn't the best dancer, but was crafty enough to seize an opportunity to turn the Devil Girls into a multi-million dollar empire. Today she serves as Director, both guiding the girls and making sure they perform to her exacting standards. Married to a former Devil, it's the one personal relationship that hasn't suffered thanks to her machinations to get to the top. The friendship that suffered the most was the one she had with Sloane, who's return stirs up old feelings -- and old wounds.

..they do look and dance like strippers most of the time. kudos for using pink's are we all we are though

tbh the dancing is only fluffing to me...the plot and twists are what got me into it. At first I thought it was gonna be another one of those mean girl, dance flick or basketball drama types but was pleasantly surprised at how interesting it was.
