Are you a product junkie? If so when did the addiction start?

My product junkie journey started in the late 2000's when beauty guru's on youtube became a thing.  Its hard to believe that there was once a time when all I used was a bar of soap, shampoo, and maybe some lotion if I was feeling fancyimstupid.png

Now I have 20 different hair products ranging from heat protectants to curling creams, tons of anti aging skincare products for my face, and about 30 high end lip balms and glosses!  Its not just the spending that's become a problem, its the time wasted on watching reviews and searching for products around town that's also become out of control!  I feel like I need to put that energy into a hobby or something.

Sameee. But with clothes as well, I like to look my best all the time.

I was definitely influenced by beauty gurus and instagram.

I wish I was like you, it must be nice having so many products to take care of your appearance.. I just limit myself to skin care products and sometimes even forget to buy again them when I run out :( I guess I'm too lazy

With hair products 100%.

I have shampoo, conditioner, co-wash, deep conditioner(3), hot oil treatments, gel, leave in conditioner, edge control, refresher spray, heat protectant, curl cream, curl defining gel, straightening cream

My eyeshadow palettes have reached 10 so maybe that's getting there.

skincare, makeup and handbags.

I've always been  into makeup since i was really young, stealing my mom's, my aunt's lip sticks and foundation and shit. When i got a bit older and started getting a little allowance i started buying cheap makeup and i put that stuff all over my face lol. When I was able to buy nicer things when i became a teenager, it quickly got out of hand. My drawer overflowed with makeup i have 90 lipsticks, 60 of similar colours, lots of different foundation, and JESUS FUCKING EYE SHADOW PALLETES!!! i just started collecting them like crazy djksaldj.

But that was a year ago. Now im not much into makeup anymore (jk who am i kidding i still have 50 tubes of lipstickimstupid.png ), but i'm more into skincare. I suddenly started having acne for some unknown reason and i started taking care of my skin a lot more. Once i know something works for me I buy like 5 more, for "back up" imstupid.png  When I find something better, i never get to use those extras i bought and i buy more of the new things that work better for me, and the cycle continues. Of course, i always try to find reviews before i buy something ( blogs, youtube ) so i guess what they say did kind of influence me??

and handbags... meh i love designer bags welp.. my aunt's influence for sure.

ugh I feel you on the hair products.  I just bought a hair perfume spray from shea moisture knowing damn well that all my hair products leave a nice scent on their own.  I also bought a edge brush and some edge control even tho I barely have edges.  I just stopped myself from buying this on Amazon since I barely have 2 inches of hair....I'm not taking it out my cart thoza5g21G.png

Luckily I'm basic so my clothes and shoes don't really need updating.

That hobby on its own it's not so bad... the problem is its cost lol.

But seriously, I'd love to have a bit more knowledge about that self care (perhaps not that much tho) you have going on. I guess sometime I'll catch up and then I'll know how to get rid of the blackheads forever!

As long as you cleanse and moisturize you should be good.  I think diet and sleep have the biggest influence on most peoples skin, minus those with cystic acne or severe skin issues.

I was the same way!  First foundation and concealer was my addiction and then it was affordable but effective skincare like The ordinary.

i've recently just discovered the ordinary too! their products are amazing for the price point! can't believe i've been paying an arm and a leg for retinol products when the ordinary has been selling theirs for less than 10 pounds. And it's really works!

Girl I don't even use heat on my hair but now I'm tempted to buy thisahmagahplz.png

I'm a junkie with hair products, mostly buying different essential and carrier oils and trying different mixtures. Started using them on my face and body too and they've worked well for me.
