You should go to the Pokemon Center rlytearpls.png

Twice was playing at a store, along with AAA. There was also a truck advertising BDZ.

Seventeen was on TV. WOWOW Live I think. It was broadcasting their concert.

Also saw a Namie ad on TV which was cool.

Damn I'm so jealous please have a good time and maybe go to the Pokemon center and get me some toys ahmagahplz.png

Another reason to fly to Japan

I know right can't wait until I confirm my trip rlytearpls.png

You can hear quite a few kpop groups (korean or japanese songs) in "young" areas like Harajuku and Shibuya, and of course in Shin Okubo. Also korean restaurants in Tokyo often broadcast music video on TV (my favorite one is in Ebisu and they usually show all of TWICE's MVs).

Maybe I should go to shin okubo then lol. I did also want to visit the Tower Records store and maybe Eorzea cafe.

Mostly it is cool to walk around and people watch. But then they pretty much do the same thing anyone else in the world does so it gets boring haha

If you have time you can definitely go to Shin Okubo (it's close to Shinjuku) but there is honestly not much to do there and it's often crowded.

I strongly recommend Shimokitazawa.

AD trucks are common ways to advertise around release time if a company can afford it. WOWOW airs concerts on a regular basis, too, though they usually cut multiple songs from broadcast.

Head over to the train stations in Shibuya to heat Namie's song "Hero" used as the departure jingle! You can also head over to Shibuya 109 to see the Namie monument and maybe check out her VR MV if it's still up (can't be sure on that). You can also head into some clothing stores to check out hand-picked Namie style items to wear.

The H&M in Tokyo should also have big posters of her collaboration clothing line with them.

Also saw and heard a lot of Twice and BTS when there. It was nice seeing how popular they are over there. Once heard red velvet's red flavour at a shop in Niigata.

Our college cafeteria plays music every morning and they always played a Twice and BTS' song.

Enjoy your trip!
