This makes you think that IZONE will have quite high album sales due to the strong fan base of these 2 members in Japan. But the thing is, AKB's uncle fans buy their albums only for the gimmicks aka gravure photoshoots, handshake event tickets, senbatsu voting rights etc. Considering that none of these factors will be existing for IZONE... In a nutshell, if their album sales tank don't be surprised... Edit: I'm sorry if the OP came out as harsh. I want IZONE to succeed for the sake of their hard work at least. But I've seen many OH'ers claiming that even if they won't be as strong digitally, their physicals will defo be groundbreaking. I just wanted to take a closer look at the circumstances... I remember seeing all the comments in the pd48 thread about how the group is gonna sell on par with wanna one if they have more japanese members and all I could do was laugh. akb's sales have always been heavily inflated by gimmicks (even moreso in recent years since their popularity with the public went down) and that's with their gazillion members. 1-2 popular akb members isn't going to sell that much physically. Sakura is the only really popular member in Izone but I doubt they will care about buying many albums specially if they can't handshake or vote, they will probably be supporting their 2nd oshi than try to follow her in Korea (idols u can meet is the whole point of 48G and that isn't really easy in Kpop with those events, language barrier and all). She has been no1 b4 + wbk knetz would never allow a JPN trainee to become the centre... Wonyoung is a better fit for the centre than Sakura if it weren't for her age imo... Wonyoung is actually 14 which makes her debut age only a year younger than Somi's. Though, even a year makes quite a big difference in the mental stability of an early teenager. The Koreans chose their best center without the help of cheats with hacked accounts. Dunno about the hacked accounts but she, Eunbi & Miru were the most fitting members for the centre position out of the top 20. She is my fav produce centre to the date.
