Do we have any news now about the contract? Is it exclusive for 1.5 years?

News about eliminated members belong to the PD48 thread....  and the cess pool on the mean thread will clear up over time as the anti's move onto other things to moan about....   I for one will be on the main thread and update stuff on it as i do for PD101 S1...  So feel free to post on the main thread if you have news on the eliminated trainees...

 

For my part, I seldom visit the IOI thread after they went their separate ways... it was a short but exciting ride, personally, I believe IZ*ONE will be huge if they get the right songs and get promoted correctly...

It all comes down to songs really. Members are important of course, but without good songs, videos and concepts there's nothing to do

I remember Dream Girls of I.O.I really have a good message, but many still ended up hating it because of its cute concept.

I think it's not the cute concept. I LOVE cute concepts but I thought Dream Gilrs was VERY forgettable. VeryVeryVery was cute but it was really catchy and the choreo was super eyecatching

 

Kek its all about popularity. Kpop is and always will be about popularity not song quality.

popular group + medicore song = awards

unpopular group + good song = nothing.

Usually they start releasing mediocre songs once they get popular, to get popular you need good songs or choreos or something that stands out

as long as koreans like the song thats what matters, even if we all dislike the song but if koreans like it, its will do well in the local charts,.

 

like i remember ifans disliked Gee, but that song is SNSD's legendary song which made SNSD "nation girl group"

 

ifans tend to value girl crush concepts as high art and cute concepts as trash. Personally, I'd rather see them do a cute concept that only Asian singers can pull off instead of releasing an Ariana Grande/Demi Lovato leftover

Well, I wouldn't be surprised tbh, I love Wonyoung and I think she'll be a great center but her victory over Sakura is suspicious, among other things

but exactly, isn't the 1.5 years part already starting? which means IZ*ONE activities only? why do they still have existing schedules in japan? like Hiichan's... 

 

if it's exclusive their agencies shouldn't even bother with any japanese schedule involved with akb or hkt for the entire 1.5 years...

Maybe it starts once they actually debut. I dont think we have any official confirmation about their contract, hope someone says sth soon
