ok, I admit now, I'm freakin' old.    I'm already in my 20's. I worked for 3 years after graduating from uni before i decided to take up law.

 

so you're still in Japan? you're really cool! and smart too.. woah.. you're awesome! 

 

with the course we have, we don't really have time to watch TV. internet is pretty much my buddy now, besides my books. what a boring life I have. 

LOL I heard in a lot of countries you have to do another degree before you can even do law. LOL besides that I think the first thing I learnt at uni was that everyone's in the same boat age doesn't really matter.

 

No I'm not in Japan right now haha > _ < I'm back home in Australia. I've been there 4 times though, with 2 of those times being exchange. I want to go again during university for 6 months. 

 

Yeah ikr. I barely have enough time to de-stress after getting all my readings done, the books and cases and legislations > _ < it's so much.

yup, we can't take law if we're not degree holders. But my pre-law isn't really a pre-law course. it's medical-related. lol. I have relatives living both in Japan and in Australia. 

 

From what MV is that gif in your sig?

Yeah~~ In Australia it's normal to take it straight after high school.  Really! Most of my relatives are in Europe or Australia but my god mother lives in Japan.

 

The gif in my sig is from one of the videos that was played at their second Japan tour concerts. There were a bunch of really interesting videos! In this one the SNSD members were all like people from fairy tales or something. It implied that Sunny had cut her hair and like looked at the mirror with her short hair for the first time. It was really interesting.

Ah now I remember. I watched their 2nd Japan Tour concert in yt few days ago, that's why it was familiar to me. T'was actually the only concert I watched and I can't even remember everything that happened and I don't know most of the song titles. lol. My focus was just to look for Sunny in the whole 2-hour video. 

LOL I was singing along like crazy I was so excited haha XD

How amazing was the beginning though! Because it was Flower Power Sunny was like the centre of attention for the opening song! ugh was so great.

Flower Power is my favorite! Haha. As far as I can remember, it's the very first MV I watched coz I've read a lot of comments that Sunny is like the center in that MV. :D I like the song too. At first I thought she made a mistake in the chorus, but the choreo's really like that and she seems like the "flower". lol. most of the SNSD songs I like are Japanese. I think Sunny gets more screentime in the Japanese MVs than Korean ones?

My favorite SNSD songs are in Japanese too. Tbh I think her pronunciation is quite good, especially compared to some of the other members. My favorite MVs for her is the Korean version of Oh!, The Boys, Flower Power, Mr Taxi and ofc Genie (both Jp and Kr).

I haven't watched the Kor. version of Oh! yet..... and Genie too... The only MVs I can remember that I did watch are Flower Power, Paparazzi, Oh! (Jap), The Boys (Eng), Run Devil Run (I saw yesterday, don't know what version tho lol), IGAB, Bad Girl, Mr. Taxi... ahmm.. so far, these are the ones that are memorable to me. Others I just watch randomly but I don't finish the whole video. I haven't even watched Gee.

 

Really? Her Nihonggo is good? God, I worked in a Japanese company for 1 year but I wasn't able to learn Japanese. And my English pronunciation has gotten worse instead coz my boss didn't understand fluent English. 

 

Even her English has gotten better, right? Do you think she really can't understand English during the "Very Good yo!" era? lol. I'm curious, coz in some shows I watched, she can actually communicate pretty well in English.

Genie is my favorite GG song ever > _ < I'm very partial to it haha. And in the Korean version of Oh! Sunny is perfect in everyway. > _ < 

 

I wouldn't say her Japanese is good, like I don't think she is conversational. Though all things considered I think her pronunciation is pretty damn decent for a K-pop Idol.

 

I think her english has made progress. In my experience with the Japanese/Korean English education systems, they can understand 100000x times more than they can speak, because they don't have much if any English speaking practise. They focus on passing exams and listening quizzes etc. I think she's definitely improved on her speaking ability though. Her English on the Dangerous Boys will forever kill me though "ummm ummm ummm, I will read booooooks". XD

Ok, I'm going to watch Genie and Oh! now.. which is a better version of Genie? lol.

 

I think most non-English speaking countries are like that (even in my country). We do understand English but are not confident in speaking the language. lol. 

 

Haha. She was the star of Dangerous Boys! Her English there is just.... idk. It was funny and cute at the same time! But she got a little American accent there, just a little more practice. Haha. And... when she acted as a lawyer.. WHOA!       she can win any case with ease.

Yes! She was amazing in Dangerous Boys! She tends to be the star in shows, especially in IY and Dangerous Boys. I think Sunny had to hold back after the first episodes of Hello Baby as well because she had the spotlight the whole time.

Ok, I'll just watch both MVs anyways.. 

 

If Sunny was always present in the episodes of Hello Baby, others might not be able to enjoy the Best Mom spot.   Also in Horror Movie Factory, she really stood out, right? She's always the best in variety shows imo.

And one thing I observed, when they sing The Boys, most of them can't pronounce "GIRLS" well. I can hear them say, "GURRS". I might be wrong, English isn't my first language. but i'm impressed that Sunny can pronounce "L" and "R". besides Tiffany and Jessica of course.

Yeah ikr she pretty much dominated it at first and was forced to hold back. Her and Hyoyeon were the best by far. And Horror Movie Factory! Yes! I forget his name but when that actor came to help them, it turned into the Sunny spotlight show haha 

 

Yeah her english pronunciation is pretty okay too, her and Seohyun are pretty good all things considered. Listening to Yuri's English always gives me a laugh haha.

Okay. Saw it already. I like both MVs. Haha. And The Boys.. there's no difference between its Kor and Eng versions, except for a very few shots. :D

 

I showed my 3 older brothers Girls' Generations MVs, which are Genie, Bad Girl and The Boys. I was surprised one of them actually knows Girls' Generation. He even sang a part of The Boys chorus and he said they debuted after 2NE1.   But he doesn't know their names, and the only one he can remember is "the girl with short blonde hair". And after watching other MVs, he liked her more! My other brother likes Sooyoung and Yoona, while the other one didn't care. He said they all look the same. Haha.

 

 

How does the voting go? Is it online? I hope she wins, too. 

Yeah The Boys is really similar haha. 

 

Ahaha XD. Sooyoung is so popular with all of us overseas people. She was stunning in The Boys especially imo. Haha at first I thought Yuri, Yoona and Seohyun all looked the same XD.

 

I thought the voting for those awards were done by like 'industry professionals' or something. I'm not completely sure though.

I was looking for an IGAB album here that is a Sunny version but I can't find one. :(

I realised I don't have much official Sunny stuff :( I have her GG 2nd Japanese album poster because I got the deluxe first press version, her IGAB album and now this photocard.

Compared to me, you already have A LOT. lol. I don't even have a single Sunny item in possession.

are those photocards given randomly or you can choose one? I really don't have any idea about these things. 

The photocards are completely random. That's why albums that include photocards tend to do so well, because if people don't get who they want, fans will buy more albums. People be wanting their bias 

Exo is a great example of that. They're my bias boy group at the moment and I have a lot of friends who are big Exo stans who probably have 10+ of each album just for the photocards. As far as I'm aware I'm the only one who has bought each album only once.

woah... So this is how kpop works, eh?   I can't imagine myself doing that tho. lol. it's like gambling imo. haha. so that's why there's also this random thingy when you buy an IGAB album so that when a buyer doesn't get the album version of his/her bias, she'll tend to order another one.. wise move indeed.

 

Yeah it can be a bit unfair. The thing with IGAB was if you have stores that sell physical Kpop albums it's not random and you can pick who you want, as long as they have that cover in stock of course. I was in Japan when it came out and I was able to straight to Shin Okubo in Tokyo and buy the Sunny and OT9 versions.

Whereas with Photocards you have no idea until you buy it and flip open the photo book.

So many essays > _ < I have had to do 3 in three weeks + legal problems and a bail application in front of a barrister. Not fun :/ How are you going?

It's our finals this week. This is the real deal for me. I can either make it or break it. Haha.

 

I just get a dose of Sunny every time I feel the need to take some rest from reading piles of books and cases. 

Ah XD. My exams for this semester go from the 11th of November to the 18th. Thank goodness I still have some time to prepare.

I already heard all the songs in the IGAB album.. I don't like all the songs. I like Baby Maybe tho! I wish they'll make a MV for it, though it's impossible since I heard they're having a comeback before the end of this year?

Which other albums of theirs have you heard? 

Yeah people think there will be a new Japanese single by the 4th of November bc of some concert thing they have planned, and there's the rumoured Korean comeback. I know they're tired but I sort of hope they have one. Shinee has had 3, Exo has had 3 - next year in Korea I want it to be SNSD/DBSK/F(x)

it's the only album that I heard so far. I'm planning to listen to their Japanese album next.

 

I do hope, too. It will be my first experience to see them having a comeback. I'm already excited just thinking about it.       

 

Which one do you prefer, hold hands or kiss? lol @ Sunny... holding Tae's hand while receiving a peck from Sica at the same time.   Or is it Sunny who stole a peck from Sica? this gif is so confusing, so many things are happening all at the same time. Haha.

 

Their first Japanese album is my favourite album of theirs. It's almost perfect. 

 

LOL SunSica and Dandyu are my two biggest SNSD ships, so that gif is just heaven for me.

But as far as I know, their Japanese album is way more expensive than their Korean albums. The last time I checked their prices in one of the music stores, t'was like that.   So I'm still thinking what to buy first. I just downloaded the IGAB album from the internet. hahaha.

That's normal because of how much more expensive Japanese music is in general. It's a great album though. I have both the Japanese edition and the Korean edition > _ <

 

I can't pick! Dandyu was my first ever Kpop ship so it's like eternal. SunSica is my main SNSD one at the moment though, Dandyu is only subtle things nowadays which makes moments like that ^^ extra special.

Did you hear her cover of Utada Hikaru's 'First Love'? That was amazing too! I even downloaded it on my iPod.

me tooooooooo!!! First Love is the only Japanese song I know and it's my long-time favorite.. and Sunny sang it! But it frustrates me that people think she can't sing well because she uses her "cutesy" voice in almost every SNSD song. :(

 

but... their song Girlfriend.. WOW.. her voice there is just..     

She's great in 별별별 too. 

And Sunny seems to be the only one that is left underrated now tbh. Sooyoung and Hyoyeon have gotten pushed so much this year - it used to be those 3 in the underrated trio but I don't see it anymore. 

I feel the most recognition she's been getting from people is for her body.

aww.. now that makes me even sadder. i don't really know the history of SNSD but hearing that from someone, it's just sad.. she's more talented than others tbh. she has a loooootttt to offer. why don't they give her an opportunity to shine?! ugh. i hope 2014 will be her year.

For me, Sunny has always done things, like she's been on shows and stuff, but she's never been given the spotlight. Closest thing I can think of is how much she was centred on in Flower Power. I hope she gets pushed next year.
