Why the album songs are 1000 time better than the title tracks !?!?!

In her Dna was my least fave (gogo should have been the title track)

In tear fake love was my least fave (paradise should have been)

And now idol lol ( I like im fine better lol)

Dont kill me armys

Who agree?

I'm Fine is definitely the better song, but it's not title track worthy. Idol is perfect for it and usually title tracks set the anticipation for the other songs on the album which imo every title track for this series has done that perfectly lol

i've had this thought about different groups before, "the b-sides were better, why wasn't this the title track?" but, while trying to think about it as subjectively as i could, i realized that most title tracks are title tracks for a reason. i'm not a fan of dna either, and i vastly prefer go go and paradise as songs, but it just makes sense to me that dna and fake love were chosen as title tracks. i can picture people calling go go "too weird" and paradise "too underwhelming" if they were chosen as actual title tracks

i feel like people don't judge b-sides as harshly, i guess? i don't know. but i've totally thought b-sides should have been title tracks before, it's just that these songs tend not to pack as much of a punch

(but i'm fine totally deserves an mv and if it doesn't get one i'll be sad)

I don't think that's a thing to hate about them. The title track is made with a specific concept in mind to fit the album/era concept, it has to have great choreography and attract a lot of people. For their b-sides, they have more freedom to do what they want, the song doesn't need a specific thing so they are not limited. So obviously since the b-sides seem more personal, more fitting to BTS, a lot of armys like them better.

Title track is a specific type of song, it should attract the attention the most, it doesn't mean that's the best song of the album smile.png just the song that can create a lot of hype around it, or the most catchy/replayable, the one that's able to be the most popular, etc. Many reasons can be used to choose some track as title.

I love some BTS title tracks very much, but some of them are not my taste, and I just listen to b-sides more smile.png I think, it's ok.

Why would you hate it? If their title tracks were their only strong releases and bsides were weak i wouldn't stan lol

All those songs you mentioned are awesome but lbr they are not commercial enough to be lead singles. And i hope I'm fine gets the Not Today treatment with an MV and being included in their performances

I think all the title tracks are fine, yes there are some titles I love more than others, but I don't find any of them to be particularly disappointing or lacking.

BTS has an impressively solid discography throughout, it's one of the things that locks me in stanning mode.

I totally agree with this. I always set a higher standard & expectation for the title track. But when i did a objective comparison between the title with my own personal fav from the album, i somehow get the decision on why the title become one. I don't have to like their decision but i understand them.

Like RM said, when they created the title track, they had to think about how to perform with choreography on stage. Personally, I don't really like Fake Love, and Paradise is a masterpiece but it's too slow for a Kpop title track.

Imo bts have always had hit or miss title tracks. But the reason I stan them is because the b sides are so great, or I would've lost interest a long time ago. They're always trying to experiment, especially since they're very popular and can get away with it so there's equal chances of it working out or not.

Anyways I'm fine is better for me as well but I can already hear complaints about generic chorus plus it's not that impactful. Idol is kind of shocking and will make you have an opinion whether it's good or bad.
