A post by Mark's dad is causing concerns.

 

On August 23, Mark's dad Raymond Tuan tweeted,

 

"In the past, when you reach your sophomore year in high school you start to choose a college to study at... Mark's contract still has 2 years left. Will he renew or choose to be independent? He needs to start preparing...."

 

 

Mark's contract with JYP Entertainment is coming to an end in 2 years, according to his father. Seeing his post, fans are already growing concerned about Mark possibly leaving GOT7 in 2 years. Some even criticized Mark's dad, commenting, "Not to disrespect papa tuan but this isn't a platform to say all these especially when their comeback is near."

On one hand, that's his dad. Of course he's going to worry about Mark's future beyond being an idol. All parents do that about their children, so its natural for him to be concerned about Mark.

 

On the other, this can be really damaging to his reputation. Maybe he shouldn't of tweeted that.

Even if Mark renews his contract, his still young and can go t college later or even do online courses. It's not like he's a broke ass lazy guy that doesnt want to go to college, he's working hard for years now

He shouldn't have posted this. Mark still has 2 years and it will only stress fans to say that. I really don't understand why he tweeted this? He could've just talked about it with his son, it's not his fans' business so he should've kept it private.

Mark could get into troubles because of his dad and honestly, I'm not an expert about wages and debts at JYP, but I'm pretty sure that GOT7 is successful enough for Mark to have plenty of money. Even if he doesn't renew, he doesn't have to go to college, he maybe has enough money to live without doing nothing until he's a grandpa. Or he can work in the entertainment industry, or take online classes.

 

It's really not a big deal and it's something private so yeah, he should have thought before tweeting

why is he a mess? I don't follow got7... I hope he's not like Pristin Kyla's brother

I don’t trust any celebrity family/friends who get unnecessarily involved in their success. More often than not they end up being toxic to their careers.

this tbh , he probably got reached out by chinese companies for moveis or solo projects and saw the money .... couldn't discuss this with him but had to make it on twitter .

the attention seeking sometimes is ehhh

He wasn't meaning Mark actually going to college. Mark hasn't even finished high school, he dropped out. He's meaning since Mark contract is coming up he needs to start preparing for either his solo career at a new place, or continue with Got7. Basically saying Mark needs to look at his options in companies just as if you would when looking at colleges after high school.

 

He's not as bad as Kyla's brother. He's just attention seeking.
