Mees Madds 36,578 Posted August 23, 2018 Share Posted August 23, 2018 It started with Bobby's solo a year ago with what imo is one of the best solo albums from a kpop idol Notice how involved he was in making the album. How hard he worked for it. Just the variety of genres and the rap in that specific Bobby style while also challenging himself with singing makes this album worth a listen. Then came Return, iKON's second full album and with it Love Scenario, the SOTY itself. But stopping listening at LS would be a mistake when this album is full of beautiful bsides that mostly follow a more mellow style like LS. I thought I should recommend a few tracks but I can't decide. There are so many songs in here that would make my top kpop songs playlist. And lastly, iKON's summer mini album, New Kids: Continue that fully embraces their young and free spirit. They chose to go with the title track Killing Me as a response to Love Scenario and showed their versatility and willingness to put their creativity at work and not just ride on LS's success. Freedom is THE song for iKON to let loose and do what they do best on stage. Only you and Cocktail are the summer jams you need. And Just for you is that beautiful song dedicated to fans iKON have been doing since before debut. B.I is the main producer for both iKON albums and he seems to have a plan in regards to the groups future music as well. He is constantly working on music and probably has the next album figured out as he already mentioned it. As long as YG let's them release music, anticipate iKON's next comeback. This is the year they announced themselves on the world stage. 2018 will be a year that transformed iKON both in Korea and internationally. They gained fans on both fronts. They broke 10 year old records on the charts. And don't look now, but iKON will probably have 2 of the top 5 most-viewed boy group MVs of 2018...something most IKONICS thought incomprehensible a year ago. Callum 1,932 Posted August 26, 2018 Share Posted August 26, 2018 Return is miles better than the other two tbh I never thought I'd say this about iKON back when I was their fan during the Team B days, especially since they do it so well, but they really should keep away the swaggy concept and stick to releasing chill bops like the Return songs.
