I wsa wondering if somebody from our forum got something any procedure done and if she/he is happy with the results.

Maybe you want to post pictures :D?

I only got laser treatment done (acne scars) and I was so satisfied with it but I still feel really ugly and I really want to have operation to finally correct my chin.

i did a few months ago actually. i got an otoplasty for my dumbo ears. my ears were always a huge insecurity for me ever since i can remember. so for me it's one of the best decisions i've ever made. i feel much happier and it's nice to not always be self concious about my ears anymore. sadly, i don't have any pictures to show as i didn't really think of it before and after the surgery.

I am curious - How much did you pay fot the operation? And how was the healing process?

for me because i was still 18 when requesting the surgery, my insurance company paid all of it. where i live it's pretty common for most insurance companies to pay for otoplasties for people who are 18 or younger. if they didn't pay for it, it would cost around â‚¬2000~€2500 for both ears.

the healing process went well. the first 5 days i had to wear this special bandage that was really tight around your ears. i read a lot of stories on the internet of people experiencing a lot of pain during the first week after the operation, so i was worried about that. but luckily i didn't experience too much pain, and when i did i could just take some medicine according to the doctor. after 5 days, i could remove the bandage and i was told to wear a headband around my ears every day and every night for about a month. this to keep protecting my ears and prevent them from going back to the way they were. i used one of those elastic headbands that you use for your hair which worked fine for me. my ears were also really swollen and bruised at first but after a couple of weeks that went away.

I had a nosejob. Changed my life.

I was so insecure with my old nose I couldn't go anywhere without makeup. I wanted to wear dresses but thought my face wasn't "cute" enough for them. I didn't go to fandom meetings though I wanted to meet new people because I felt anxious about my nose all the time. No matter what I was doing, if I was with others, half my focus was on "how must I look with this nose"

I'm not into the culture of "make yourself perfect by going under the knife"! I think it's incredibly toxic to expect all people to look like perfect models. But if there's one thing that is a detriment to you living your life the way you want to, get rid of it.
