If it is indeed a survival then this kind of explains why Somi left. She made it clear she wouldnt be taking part in another one after P101.

 

Yeah. Even if JYPE gives her special pass for her popularity, it is unfair for other JYP trainees. She failed Sixteen so she has to compete another JYPE survival if she wants to be in the new JYPE girls group. But if she participates, she is graunteed member like Nayeon or Sana for Sixteen.

Why she should leave!..

If rumor sixteen 2 become true.. Somi only need to participate for formality.. She should know, she will be in the group because her popularity like nayeon.. JYPE only will make somi particapate to keep group image as a group with motto "one for all, all for one"..

 

And if somi not like it & even chose to leave because of that.. Then it's the best choice for all parties..

Because somi not need to stress again in idol life.. And JYPE can keep image they want for the group/member..

It feels weird when there is a post on JYPE new girl group after the news regarding Somi's contract termination

I hope that JYPE will produce a great girl group...

They were news about this group debuting end 2018 / early 2019 for months . After Somi announcement as people wondering if that meant that the debut would be delayed they just reassured that they are still planning the group. if you are talking about the showcase, it was planned for a while and is a regular event 2 times a year.

 

But yeah i Miss Somi, Natty.. too!

Those "survivals" are just scripted tv-shows to create pre-debut hype for a group. If anything, it's an additional PR for a members involved - that is why agencies produce those in the first place.

 

I would be SO surprised if that was the reason.

I personally think it will gave them more good buzz with variety or reality tag to their predebut hype than another idol survival show IMO Koreans really seems so sick of it for real this time. Even the mediaplayed P48 as final of Producer series generate less popularity than other 2 seasons, not to mention all the flop idol survival shows from other channel within 1 year.

Jype, be innovative and freakin change to variety/reality!! I'll watch them but will skipped if it another survival show.

If she starts as an idol and then goes into acting, she will be more successful. She is already an excellent actress. JYPE can have their next big thing in Eunsoo. But I get your point too, Eunsoo and Sieun will probably go into acting.

 

But again, with Somi's departure, the current line-up is really lacking. Jisoo can sing but the other three are meh. It would be wise for JYP to add all these visuals of Eunsoo, Sieun and Yuna. They should even bring Yejin back for talent department and Mashiro for Japanese fanbase.

she didnt want actually jyp send her. they want to use program for making twice popular and it's worked. somi all program promoted twice.
