What are the chances of getting into your dream college?

The uni I want to go to is considered the second best one in the country, so I think it'll be really tough. But I think it'll be plausible if I really work hard. Luckily, in Australia there's not as much obsession with prestige and most people can go to good schools if their scores are high enough and meet the pre-reqs.

I think I have fairly good chances, but the problem is the tuition and possibly being in debt the rest of my life smile.png

Start looking at scholarships to apply for now. Never hurts to early, especially when it comes to things like these haha.

I didn't really have a dream school (used to be Berkeley but I didn't like it when I visited). I am attending my first choice though...

no scholarships to be found apart from really tiny ones. loans are inevitable on a 60,000 tuition and dorm

Well, I've always been told that even tiny scholarships help. Are you looking to applying to privates? Because I know private universities usually are more giving to their students about grants and scholarships. There are some that also matches the tuition if you are accepted to another university like a UC (I'm sorry... I'm assuming you are from the US?).

Considering my grades and financial situation at the time, I didn't even try to get in. I wish I had made greater efforts so that I could possibly get scholarships but ah well.

For graduate school, chances are good, but I need the scholarships to come through and/or get a good score on the GRE so that I can get some sort of financial help. For now, I'll save as much as I can so I can put it towards my dream school.
