Okay so...what do you guys make of this...?

So I very very very briefly worked for this sales company. During my time there, I was teamed up with these young and energetic guys. One was Black (like me) and the other was Arab. They were both really friendly, I guess, but...well they both really liked shit talking White people and they both said the N word a lot...including the Arab guy. The Black guy seemed totally fine with it though and since I'm a wimp who hates confrontation, I just shrugged it off. But at one point when it was just me and the other Black guy, I asked if he's okay with it and he said:

"It's cool. I consider anyone who isn't White to be Black. As long as they aren't White, know what I mean?"

...I...I uh...hmm. I...I dunno, I dunno about that. 5cF9Biq.png

I actually see this happen quite often where a non-Black person has a bunch of Black friends so they say the N word just as much as they do. Like, I get it if it's just between them and their Black friends who're okay with it, but it becomes a problem when they think that gives them permission to say it in front of anybody.

"Relax, I have Black friends and they're okay with me saying it." Okay, cool, but I'm not...

Just ignorance. A lot of ignorance prevails because it's reinforced by people the ignorant person assumes should know better.

I agree with you. Non-blacks should not be saying it. In fact no one should and move on.

I personally really don't like the word no matter who says it. But since I've grown up hearing my peers saying it like 100 times a day everyday, I've kinda just grown numb to it now. :/
