Song Seung-Heon talks about filming for upcoming drama “Player.� + praise his costars included Krystal.

“Player†is a caper drama about an elite team of four criminals who join forces to pull off the ultimate heist. Song Seung Heon will star as the talented con artist Kang Ha Ri, while f(x)’s Krystal will be playing Cha Ah Ryung, the country’s top driver. Lee Si Eon will play the role of brilliant hacker Lim Byung Min, and Tae Won Suk will round out the team as the top-notch fighter Do Jin Woong.

 

Song Seung Heon’s role as Kang Ha Ri will bring about an interesting transformation, as he stated, “‘Player’ is of a genre I’ve never done before, with a new character.†He also talked about how he came to select this project by saying, “It was new to me, but also very charming.â€

 

He continued, “[Kang Ha Ri] is a character who has a totally different feeling from what I’m usually like, so everything is new and exciting. I’m trying to let go of the acting style I’ve had until now. Ha Ri has a painful past, but he tries to show a bright and fun image. He pretends he’s fine and strong on the outside, but on the inside, he’s hurting on his own and full of care. Those sides are similar to me in real life.â€

 

As expected of the leader of the four-membered squad, Song Seung Heon had nothing but praise for his costars Lee Si Eon, Do Jin Woong, and f(x)’s Krystal. He remarked, “The actors match their characters to the point where I can’t imagine any other actor playing their roles. When [the viewers] watch the drama, they’ll be surprised. I believe that this good energy will be delivered to the audience.â€

 

 

 

 

Finally, Song Seung Heon stated, “I want to hear that Kang Ha Ri can’t be played by anyone but actor Song Seung Heon. I’m doing my best to make a work that people will feel they absolutely can’t miss on the weekends. Please wait with interest and affection for the premiere on September 29.â€

Yeah it's unfortunate that it will be so short :/ Let's hope the episodes will be on the long side (prison playbook eps were around 1h30)

It's 2 episodes a week right ? So 7 weeks... less than 2 months
